I know there is allways whining when some changes hit SISI but this time its an all out cry fest. I have seen more crying, especially from bob pilots, about carriers than I think I have ever seen about any other change. And I have been around a long ass time(with another character back to october 03) You babies make yourselves out to be the beliguered and abused patrons of a tyrannical company taking your money and nerfing your ships... wahhh CARRIERS! wahhh MARAUDERS!! WAAHHHH MOMS!!! Wahhh EOS!!! OMFG WAAAAHHHH AMARR(actually this one is sort of necessary...seriously wtf ccp)!!! wahhh Diemos!!! Wahhh Raven does too little dps Wahhh Raven does too much dps WAHHH GOons Waahhhhh BoB seriously stop the whining and crying about how u want your ship, that u think will make u some kind of evil/shiny KNIGHT 'O DOOM, anti-nerfed to a state of invulnerability I have plenty of wants and needs too for the ships I fly and will be flying but I will let ccp do their thing and trust them. After all this has worked for 4 years. I know u uber carrier/mom pilots think are saying u just wasted 47.2 years of training but you really in actuallity didn't because u still have a ship that is equal to any other of the same class ship with a pilot of the same skills flying it. It might not fair as well against another class of ship or a$$load of another class ships but just go with the punches and switch ships if u dont like it. your ship and skillpoints wont be going anywhere so just hope back in it later when u wanna give it another go. And those of you threatening to quit? We dont need your whining on the forums and we dont need your competition in game so go to another game allready otherwise suck it up. I have seen people for and against the changes from practically every alliance ingame..... attack the arguments not the people that are making them

Shardrael Caldari AWE Corporation Intrepid Crossing	Posted - 2007.10.24 08:27:00 - [5] refuting a claim made in the OP is not derailing a thread ffs........ and starting your thread out with "Bet you thought it was another whine thread huh?" and then proceeding to whine about whiners is so ridiculous I dont know whether to laugh or cry.... and if all ccp wanted to have happen was to do their thing and have us trust them then there is no reason whatsoever to present potential changes to the subscriber base well in advance of the actual changes being made. They require feedback, it helps them make better informed decisions on the state of the game, not to single anyone out but I remember hearing some funny stories about Selene at fanfest talking to one of the higher ups and stating why the hurricane was overpowered with its powergrid and turret layout, whether its true or not it sounded like selene made a good point about the then current potential of the ship and low and behold when it went live those things were changed. in closing dont be ignorant and expect everyone to be as much of a sheep as you seem to want to be. If you have no input to offer on the new ships then dont bother yourself with threads dedicated to doing just that.

I wasn't saying we should just take it up the butt from ccp with whatever ridiculous idea that comes spewing out of the nerf generator program tux came up with before he headed off on extended leave to the mediteranian with 201 babes and jay z's Private Yaught. All I am saying is provide a little feedback on why changes might be bad. And by a little I mean add to a post every now and then about a ship u think got the shaft. This insesant whining and starting threads about every ship new and old that is prenerfed or preoverpowered is not helping though. Carrier's and Mom's were broken and perhaps the rookie ship balancer should have stated more precisely what he thought was wrong with them but they needed fixing. What you fail to see in your general argument is the fact that every single one of these whinthreads you listed serve a purpose, they voice the general idea of pilots. Is there anything but the fact that you disagree said in it? I do agree that it is annoying, with all the whine, however what you fail to separate is the ignorant random whine and what's actually backed up with reason and experience. NAAAAAAAAAUGHT I got some experience with this too buddy I whined about the eagle for a long ass time saying it didn't do enough dmg... hmmm no change hmm ok ccp must know what they are doing... ill just train for diemos if i want to do more dmg... well this sucks(not enough pg) OK finally in command ships hmmm this eos is sweet...looks to horizon see's incoming nerf welp time to get skills up for a Sin see I understand the need to voice your opinion but in all actuality the game is still pretty fun just constantly training for a different ship and while no I am not going to be a political jolly in this game you guys are needed or else nothing will get changed until the dev gets into the ship in question and experiences first hand how f'ed up he made it. but u political jolly's constantly berating ccp do make my eyes bleed... guess thats your point tho -------------- Xio2

Because I somehow hope balancing is done through some sort of calculations (if not it would be funny) so why not share em with us?

I wanted to see nos nerfed - loved the nosdomi - and still do. I want amarr buffed - but I don't fly a single amarr ship. I want modules affecting missiles - even though I rarely use missiles at all. I like hearing that because I personally was for the changes reading this dev blog has changed my opinion a little bit tho and I hope it helped comfort all of you who were protesting the nerf pretty hard... love this line tho: This is far from being an unnecessary ôrandom nerfö, we care a lot about EVE and we strongly believe weÆre doing everything we can to make it better. ItÆs against everything that EVE stands for that one ship is able to counter ôalmostö every other ship, can do all roles, all the time, without drawbacks. Whatever they change you can adapt in just a few weeks if not instant to the 'better' ships/weapons/tank/whatever. If I had like 25m gunnery, 15m missiles, most engenering/electronis in 5, 5M in drones + every other nice-to-have skill in 5 I wouldn't say anything either. But, with 2xM invested in some ships/roles that seems to be nerfed it DOES matter. Say I'm 1 week from the ship I think is the most suited for my playstyle, thinking it can't change after 1 year of balancing. Then CCP come around and make most of my time devoted to that class close to useless. So much for noobs trying to catch up in certain fields of this game. CCP will make sure you'll never be able to compete with you vets in any branch, even if specializing from day 1. No, this isn't about the carrier nerf.. It's the general way CCP always find a way to **** people off.
