Just wanted to say how lame you are. Running from a fight by logging at a gate while 4 people are pounding you. Great. Too bad I recored it, you are going to be part of the "Lamers United" movie some time.
If you can't afford to lose your Battleship, please stay in Yulai and hunt NPC pirates there.

Thank you. Fooling around gets me sometimes lucky, sometimes not :-).
On the topic: I prefer to lose my Battleship after I made the mistake, rather than doing some dirty tricks to save it. Afterall it is a game, and learning from mistakes improves skills.
I don't know what to do about people doing it, maybe increase the log off timer? It's not that easy to take out a tanked Raven in 90 seconds even with multiple ships.
Should I report such people for exploiting?
Sigh.

Simply flag the ship if it is being fired upon by PCs. Then, if the flag is set, extend the log out timer by a minute or three.
CTDs are getting rarer by each patch, so I'm sure we'll see something like that eventually.

A name and shame list is a good idea imo.
The most annoying thing about "attempted log offees" is that thir corpse disappears after they are podded.

Did he use the mysterious dissapear in way to little time sploit?
I'd petition it. Even if GMs don't do anything, they need to know that it is happening.
Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage. |

Another one to add to the shame list: Retr0 in a Megathron.
The Bane torpedos did the job this time though. Frap captured it too, more sad people for the movie to come I guess :-(.

I guess it is , you should kill them quicker.
But then again, If you have invul timer to high what are you goign to do one day if mid battle you warp to a gate and the net proxy disconnects or EVE crashes. If your ship was there too long it would surely be killed right ?.

This logging business is a sad affair. We chose to overcome this weakness by bringing more firepower.
Since adding a third pilot to our enlightenment force, we have successfully thwarted two BS pilots from fleeing the very universe itself.

People who are good at this can "re-login" on an alt in 20 seconds or less.
That is, if that exploit is still there.

I had some nub pirate do this on me it's annoying yes, they come in innitiate aggression then get pwn'd then do the log trick yes indeed sad.
But i still think there is a factor when u could Get Bugged maybe CTD on a belt coming back to a pod. Its just too risky uping the timer at this point.

You COULD go on them 1vs1, they prolly wouldnt log then, but what is the probability you would pound his ass then.
Ive been in this game for allmost a month, i cant wait to get into a something more powerfull than caracal and meet some gankers :) I trust it will be fun, since i can afford to loose the ship :) or 2 or 3. After all its only a game :)

WOW. It does suck when people log and dont accept the fate that has arrived for them. It is truly amazing. I know alot of people that do this, and it ****es me off too.
Happens everytime I go with my m8s to go attack a certain pirate corp in the Providence region. Logging maybe should be limited to stations.
( ya ya I know im 80 jumps from the nearest station cases will have a problem with it)

Takes my mega all of 30secs to take out a tanked raven. Thats my chaos record but on tranquility its 40secs.
I had a guy insta disapear before and that really sucked. I see why people do it, but its just really pathetic and lame.
I have a nice screenie collection of my battleships blowing apart. The graphix are cool

other log off at gates so they can effectivly hide their ship until someone arrives and they they all insta log in and gank to death.
both are taking advantage of game mechanics.
some people want it all their own way....

We had a heated discussion on this issue on our ventrillo server and we came to an agreement that people who use this log off exploit to survive while being warp jammed and webified to hell will be beaten by the similar trick, we log off and log on as soon as they log on again.
Don't like it? Don't do it to us, we will refrain from paying back the same lame way.
