I'm new here so please be patient with me.
I get a runtime error everytime I try to connect to the sub-space.
What should I do??
Please help me. I really want to play EVE Online in a hurry.

do you mean when your entering space after you have selected your character?

It's when I try to connect to the sub-space frequency.

alot of people are stuck. they'll either reboot or wait till tommorows down time :)

Nice to know. If that's true then I don't think I'll ever be able to play EVE Online. I've been trying for 2 days now, and I spend nearly all my free playing time on absolutely nothing.
Cool game.

2 days seem wrong, hasnt been that bad. you can petition perhaps, somewhere on the left menu you can find a form to fill in and someone can help you.

There's nothing in the left of the screen.
The problem is before I even get startet with the game.
I click om the EVE icon on my desktop. I sign in with my username and password. I click on the picture of my person, and then before the loading process is finished I get the Microsoft visual C++ runtime error.

welcome aboard, you are one of the (un)lucky few. Check out the "randome CTDs and Crashes" thread in the troubleshooting and workarounds forum channel. I believe it's the one directly below this one.
It seems many people are having this and similar problems (myself included). Check out that thread and similar as some people have found ways to get EVE running, so you may not be stuck.
Right now it seems no one really knows what is causing this to happen, so at this point it seems mostly luck.

Just to insert a note of hope. I had exactly the same problem. try deleting the cache directory in your eve folder. it worked for me.

I've tried to delete the cache folder, but nothing seemes to change. It stille dosn't work.
Now I've deleted the game completely.
I dont think I'll ever be able to play this game.

It could be something that you have installed that is running in the background. You may want to try using a cool called msconfig (if you have winxp, win98, winme. I can't remember if it comes with Win2k but i dont' think it does.).
This will allow you to disable items running in the background. kinda a trial by error route but it helps alot. Sometimes anti-virus programs or the like can cause an issue with this.
If you do have anti-virus, you may want to try reinstalling eve with it turned off if you haven't already tried that.

Still nothing works.
I've even tryed to install every new driver for my computer, but without any results and now my 3 day free trial is out.

I had the exact same problem with my laptop. I could do everything in the station fine, but when I tried to exit the station and enter space I got an exception error.
The answer from Support is that my video card does not support the advanced graphic features required to run the game.
