Right, well I jump into 0.4 with a Raven I'm not really wanting to loose and a tanked up Dominix which I doubt I could challenge as I'm in the stage I can pilot Battleships, but not really have sufficent PVP skills in it. I'm the default 15km from the gate after jumping in, and have about 20 seconds to decide what to do before the cloak wears off. I immediately head for the gate and convo the pilot and he asks a ransom of 50 mill, which for a Raven I thought was acceptable. I paid 27 million of it (all I had at the time) and all he saw was his wallet blinking which I assume he took to mean the 50 mil. IN the time he was taking to check that, I managed to jump through.
So, pay 1 isk, make them check their wallet and use that vital 3 or so seconds to get to the gate and jump.
No doubt all gatecampers will now keep their wallets open when attemping this but just thought I'd mention it

The "gatecamp" was just me and I hadn't planned on agroing you as I was simply waiting to jump in the system.
Hopefully more people will take your advice and pay ransoms they dont need to. Good job!

Well... I dont think its such a good advice as it would get you blown up after the guy/s doing the ransom discover this.
Pay full ransom or risk it, you could even try to stall for time, but.... in any case.... very good yarr on the "pirate" part!

Should have let him agro you. A lone domi pilot isn't gonna do too much damage with the sentries popping all his drones.

Tell that to the manticore I popped at a gate using T1 light drones and left me a shadow serp sb, cov-ops cloak (cargo) and 15m in other assorted loot.
I lost one light drone and got loot worth more than my domi and its t1 fitting at the time.
Ogres can survive fine at gates, you just have the annoying scoop/deploy to do over and over.
Now tanking sentries and a torp rave with good skills is another matter entirely.

Thats the state of EvE atm I guess - nothing to appologies for but if you insist actions speak louder than words - you can contract me a share of the loot and nothing more will be said on the matter.
Damn I miss the huge open warfare we used to have in high sec. Roll on faction warfare, it will give me a reason to clean my sec - I hope.

Your level of stupidity is beyond imagination.
If you want to move a ship like that through even low-sec gatecamps - most of them anyway, you need to fit it right.
In lows put all WCS, in mids put 1-2 heavy cap injectors, 100mn MWD and in the rest a tank.
And if you had any brains, you would have gotten away from the Dominix no problem.
If the guy was going to engage you, his drones would have been OMGWTFPWND by the sentries, and without them i doubt he would of had enough DPS to kill you in a reasonable ammount of time.

I did something similar the other day. I warped into a gate camp in a .3 in my vexor. Had an armagadon, and two other big ships sitting on it. So naturally I ran for the gate and got destroyed in roughly 4 seconds.
This is similar because we both lost, although I lost less to more ships.

Do you see a problem with the above statement? Like any pvper will tell you: oh god yes that statement is made of pure fail. Run for the gate first before even metioning ransom then IF he engages continue running until he either dual webs you after an mwd bump or your going down like a catholic school girl cause his dps is too good. Then you can offer a ransom and most people will take a nice juicy 50 mill ransom and let you go Think before acting and you prolly woulda kept the raven and your wallet

In a situation (And all are different ) like you describe, if your raven was setup reasonably well, and You had a MWD fitted, you should be able to tank that solo Domi well enough to make it back to the gate. If he attacks you he cant jump for like 15-30 seconds. Its the ones that follow you through you have to worry about. I played that game for about 5 minutes with someone that was trying to kill my Raven, just uncloak, MWD back to the gate with your hardners active. Dont shoot back jump when in jump range.
[This is why most people believe in Fitting MWD ]

I can confirm that corno put two bounties on himself. He put on on to look cool and then he sold a GTC and put the isk on himself to get himself on the bounty board and was all proud of it till everyone in local laughed at him.

Actually Firkragg, this is the "official" version of the bounty story, and not your made-up one.
I in total have had about 2 bounties on me
1 of which I own up to
the 2nd of which, (my current bounty) I still have no idea as to who put it on me,
Bounty Number 1. I admit I was bored and put it on me for a laugh. This bounty ( barely 100 million) was put on me just for a joke and a laugh and was removed after about 1 day of it being on me.
Boutny number 2 (current one). Absolutely no idea as to who put it on me. No doubt Firkragg will continue with his lies. THe 1 truth he has told was the 1st bounty. The second bounty, I have no idea about as I have said countless times.
