I have large energy weapon 4, amar bs 4, and all the support skills trained. I plan to use it for fleet battles so i need to be able to switch it from a good up close point ship, to a sniper if needed. Which ship would the good Amarians of the forum recomend to this Gallente player working his way up the amar path?
Also some fitting ideas for the ship you list would be nice.

Abaddon.
For sniping, get enough range by adding tracking comps and enhancers, then add enough cap recharge modules and rigs to be somewhat cap stable, then add heatsinks.
For up close, fit mega pulses and a fearsome tank.

Abbadon (though you're going to HAVE to have Controlled Bursts V and the cap skills way up).
For fleet sniping 8x Tachyon Beam Laser II (using that +80% range sniping T2 ammo) Enough sensor booster IIs to push your targeting range to a usable level. 3 tracking modules (preferably tracking computers) 1x CCC Cap power relay IIs to make it cap-stable 3x Heatsink IIs If you still have slots left, slap on plates 2x Ancillary Current Router (it's unbelievable how much powergrid 8 Tachyon IIs use up)
For solo/small gang work (can always go with a more tanky fit if need be). 8x Megapulse II MWD, web, scram, medium (if skills are low, heavy) T2 injector 3x Heat Sink II 2x 1600mm RT plates 2x EANM II 3x Trimark 5x Valkyrie II (may as well toss that 3'rd damage type in there) 5x Warrior II ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

You want both sniping and close range gank? Abaddon does both very well.

Now i know it cant snipe, but would the geddon be anygood at close to midd feilder roles? The main reason I ask thise is because it is a way cheaper ship to take into a fleet fight environment.

The geddon is MADE for pulses. Wich means everything from close to mid range with heavy damage for a cheap buck. Close or mid range only for highest gank per buck, go geddon yes.
For cheap fleet sniping, ie tachyons, go apoc.
Abaddon does geddons job just as good in close to mid range with pulses and a better sniper then the apoc with tachs, but ofc costs more.

Edited by: Atius Tirawa on 26/10/2007 17:59:42 train Amarr BB 5 asap. . .and I hope you have all the energy skills to 5 too - you need it.
And, Lrg Pulse and Beam spec are key:
Pulse spec for Scorch crystals. Beam for Aurora.
without these you are just an expensive gank. -----------
