I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but whenever I get a '?' or 'i' dialog box pop up, like when I want to change a training skill or if I try to put more drones into my drone bay than I have room for, my client just freezes up.
Edit: title typo.

yeap same problem, i get a dialog box pop up when entering game to tell me channel doesn't exist and game freezes, so not playable at the moment.

one of my friends said it happens when you click on the 'ok' button or certain dialog buttons

Same here. If you have sound enabled it loops the "dong" noise it makes when you click ok like 5 billion times a second. My poor ears. 
Happens on any dialogue box for me, System still loading, Market not open etc.

I think i have the same problem, i was going to train the marauder skill but the usual popup box asking if i wanted to switch skill etc caused the game to crash

Bumping because the issue is still relevant, as I found this morning (twice in a row  ). Can we have a sticky until this is fixed, please?
edit - 3 times now. The 'are you sure you want to fit this rig' box causes crashes as well...

Got the same issue with the "you sure you wanna jump to a 0.0 solarsystem" popup.

It also does it on the dialog boxes on the login screen, eg Incorrect password or server not connected. And im pretty sure it is when you press ok.

Mouse click in the box itself, not the button, and then pres your Enter key. That works without crashing.

On the 'information' boxes (those that only offer the 'OK' option), closing the box by clicking the 'x' at the top right corner works.
On the 'question' boxes (those that offer 'OK' and 'Cancel', and the eventual checkbox), things are not so simple as the 'x' at the top right acts (at least on some of the boxes) as Cancel ; and from my own experience, using the enter key when the 'OK' button has focus triggers the same fatal game-freeze.
I've also experienced some brutal cold reboots (comp acts as if front panel reset button had been pressed) while playing the current version.

yeah... it seems to happen when you press "ok". so press your escape key instead. that'll get rid of the box most of the time. although it wont help if you actually need to press ok. like for trying to get into 0.0

Clicking OK to anything on the test server ATM will crash your client , this is happening across 7 different people on ts ATM, any kind of OK at all .
