There are rumors more and more poeple use a lame trap tactic:One ship as bait , another 10 bs takes positions around and log off. They stay in touch with an off-game communication program. When a brave knight arrives and see he is attacked by one ship , he decides to duel.Surprise !! In a matter of seconds he is surrounded by ten bs wich logs on.
Maybe im wrong but i see a simple solution: extend the cloacking period after logging on in space to 3 minutes and dont allow to use any kind of modules during these 3 minutes. The dueling guy will see in local 10 new persons and will have a chance to escape.
It isnt a perfect solution since this lame tactic should be blocked at all, but its the best i could think off.

Check the new Dev Blog by LeKjart
Personally, I think that'll go a long way in removing log-off traps and the like.

How will it stop the tactic? It might delay it for a few seconds, but ultimately the ship is right back to where you logged off.
Am I missing something?

You'll pop up in local
10 people suddenly popping up in local and suddenly warping in mens you get an extra 5-10 seconds (at least) to warp out.

Fair enough. I think the solution in the Dev Blog would be even better if they just had the person log back in at the random location without the auto-warp. Like the Dev himself says, you'll probably be halfway through the warp by the time you're actually seeing the game.

Hopefully, the labeling of this tactic as an exploit and threat of bannination will stem the use of this tactic also. --------------

Or maybe 7-8 brave knights on BS comin to attack 1 scorp and then get traped with 6 bs.And then begin to scream "exploit, exploit"

Best way to solve the exploit problem:
Leave the ship where the player logged out. No cloaking, remove from local chat, maybe seen on scanner. When they r at a safe spot, then they should remove the drifting. ---------------------------------------------
