For a speed tank 2077 m/s is way to slow!

Edited by: ChimeraRouge on 29/10/2007 09:24:10 WTB Navy Vexor with 6 low slots.
I've tested every combination of mods for speed tanking in the lows on an Ishtar (5 low slots) and the best possible setup I've come up with is this:
3x Overdrive II, 1x Nanofiber II, 1x Local Hull Inertial Stab. And I get about 3700m/sec with rogue hardwiring implants.
The mass on a Navy Vexor is 250,000kg more than an Ishtar but your speeds shouldn't be that much slower. Train navigation 5, acceleration control 4 and get some velocity implants. 2000m/sec is too slow.

Agreed. A jag or a wolf would catch you and you would die very painfully. You could maybe add some aux thruster or other cheap speed increasing rigs.

2x ODI II 3x Nano Struct II 1x MARII/ 1x Inertia stab 2x Auxiliary Thrusters
2837m/s, 170m3 cargo 3110m/s with implants
2x med neuts 3x small t2 blasters highs are for going against frigs
just for comparison, how fast do speed AF's and nanovagas go? how do they avoid missile damage?
oh and how viable is a nanothorax? ----------- D: |

I'll sell you one for a great price, for this truely unique piece of hardware.

A stabber using only T2 gear can do more than 4000m/s, and I believe the Vaga is about 10m/s (5%?) base faster.
How do you plan to hit anything with a Nano-thorax? -----

3x OD II 2x Local I-Stab
3x Polycarbon Engine Housing I
You should be topping 4+ km/s easily with that.

Jaguars go over 3k/s easy. Faster if they spend slots. Wolfs usually in the 2.3k/s range with no mods.
