I have been approached by several operations who have decent reputations and can read instructions. (i.e. Contact me directly.) Negotiations have been started and I no longer require additional contacts.
Those so-called 'professional' mercenary organisations who expect me to come begging hat in hand for them to take my money can continue waiting. I sought out corps who were in between contracts, and interested in picking up paid work.
These individuals know that they have a service to provide and the customer will conduct his business how THEY want to conduct their affairs. NOT be dictated to by a bunch of loud mouth yahoos with nothing better to do than **** into the wind over someone elses business affairs.
Don't like that? Who cares.

Hmmm... asshat. is that a fancy way of saying that you are somehow deficient in your capacities in the written word to understand specific instructions to contact an individual directly in game? In your case it is clear to me where your deficiencies lie. You seem to not know when to button your trap in a thread that does not concern you in the least.
I don't play this game to be 'popular'. You might seek out personal, spiritual or emotional fulfilment whist having intelectual intercourse with your peers. I on the other hand tell people to eat the peanuts out of my @#$% if they annoy me. I have enough friends and refuse to waste my time dealing with fools.

Dunno why you guys posting about attitude.. IMO, if you're a mercenary, a true mercenary accepts most (probably any) job, as long the client pays it out and if the reward is good.. Basically, money comes first, everything else, last. Especially attitude. I always have a impression that mercenaries only think about gaining profit and reputation of successfully carrying out the job.
But I admit OP is going a bit far on this thread. :s

True mercenaries do not under any circumstances have to apply for contracts, the contracts come to them. Any of the established Merc Corps don't need to be running around asking for work.
This is true in RL too.
The OP IMO appears to have delusions of grandeur. ISK isn't everything sunshine, no matter how much you have, no matter what assets you have, you're only as valuable as your reputation in this game. Somehow I think your stock value just crashed.
