Sir, I respectfully have to disagree, Mr. Reznik's quip works on a number of levels and just because you do not fully understand its context doesn't mean it does not have a cunning genesis, in this case, the death of Smoske which if I recall correctly happened in an auto accident, hence the license plate going through Smoske's head as opposed to thoughts, which are usually the things which go through people's heads. Its really quite funny when you think about it.

Stinks of taking it too seriously and then getting **ed off when others who have no feelings towards the event comment about it. When ds1 took the stn many moons ago from tribal souls and later bob (which we lost again heh) i pushed hard to rename it but was brow beaten down as ASCN worried that it might off people in the community. Frankly them, change its goddam name and ask CCP to erect something permenant and more fitting in empire if you want to remember the young lad properly, a station isnt suitable and should not be used as a ***** tombstone that others watch from afar trying to take some moral highground. i cant believe its even an issue, think about it, when you die do you want to be remembered for your eve playing....?

My personal history is irrelevant in this context. The association I have with H8- is that it is the first station I called home when I moved to 0.0 a year and a half ago. I never knew smoske personally, but I was new to the experience and I asked everyone who Smoske was, and why I should care. I got an earful from all the old-timers about who he was, what he had done (eve-kills.com), and how great of a guy he was, and it really made an impression on me - one that has stuck. I honestly thought that this could be a simple discussion of times gone by and remembering and reverence for a pilot long gone. I see now that I was wrong; it is so disappointing to post in CAOD. Your personal history has everything to do with understanding what you are saying. Don't cop out, you have an axe to grind with Goons because of what happened in-game to your old alliance. You know CAOD is a cesspool. Everyone knows this by now. Even hinting at Smoske here is borderline because of how internet spaceship politicized it became. You knew exactly what would be posted in reply to this thread. You're not new at this game, you know how to find a real time conversation with a director of STK Scientific. You can even do it in game.
