I think u can nano it up a bit to 2k - 3k AND still have a good armor tank.
So yeah nano it w/rigs Hams , mwd distruptor (duno bout web) and fit a decent armor tank .... so u can run if u have to but u can tank uber too !
Uber idea solves all !! |

It's a lot better than the Zealot, unless you like sniping with beams.
You could go nano or tank. Tank Sac gives you a better tank than a passive Drake. Nano it up and you can still fit a medium rep and a web for catching inties. Use faction ammo (if you can afford) and T2 HAMS. Must have Missile Bombardment and Missile Projection at 4 to get about 17-18k range. Javelins give you over 70k range with the above missile range skills at 4.
My nano sac goes over 4k/sec and does 430 dps. It's a crazygood ship, just watch out for webs and heavy neuts.

How hard it is to kill depends on how you fit it and what you put it up against. Some like to give their Sacs tackler setups with 2xMARs whilst others like to go for speed or sometimes even a mix of both.
The sac deals good damage with HAML's so I suggest you train for thoose and any missile skills that go with it (Rapid Launch, Guided Missile Precision, Missile Projection, Warhead Upgrades, Heavy Assault Missiles V + Specialization etc) aswell as the needed capacity and armor skills.
- The sac is fairly easily fitted but you stil might need some more grid skill training if you haven't got it already.

I went to the trouble of training HAM II's just to fly the Sac and it turned out to be a Sac of crap. All it has going for it is that it can fit a MWD easier than a Zealot, but really it's a lot worse. Supposedly it can fit a better tank but the limited range of heavy ass missles makes it pretty terrible. If precision missles didn't have a speed penality and had some other penality then it would be 10x better, but they do, so it's not.
1v1 between the Sac and Zealot would probably be a toss up. Since either could make trade offs between tank and gank. Anything that could kill a Sac would kill a Zealot I can't see any situations where the Sac would do better, but because of the ability to shoot at all ranges there are a lot of situations where the Zealot will do better.
I flew a Sac for awhile but switched back to a Zealot, increased range with practically the same tank just makes it a better ship

Umm no way. the Sac could do level 3's but a zealot would be a better choice in both situations.

On the contrary, I run level 4 missions solo in my Sac...they can take a bit of time, but easily done...

I to would like to know this. Is a sac better than a zealot. What is the nano sacs fitting? What is the preferd gank fitting for both?

Right. Like that is going to be answered with anything worthwhile. It all depends on what you plan on using it for and what your style of combat and tactics are. Zealot has better range, Sacrilege is better for speed, but can tank just as well as the Zealot. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It trully depends on your intended role. If you want to be a heavy tackler the Sac is the way to go. If you just want dps support in gang then go with a Zealot. Both ships are fun to fly but the Sac gives you a bit more flexibility.
News flash: Alliance losing members at an astounding rate but it's okay cause I just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geiko.
