Two Beans GoonFleet GoonSwarm	Posted - 2007.10.31 20:49:00 - [1] Edited by: Two Beans on 31/10/2007 20:50:05 On the night of October 24, 2007, Two Beans attended the Evil Thug - Shrike boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. After the fight, one of The Mittani's associates spotted 21 year-old Deus "Illaria" Ex, a member of the POS War Deserters, in the MGM Grand lobby and had Beans notified. Beans rushed Ex and knocked him to the ground. Beans' entourage, as well as Mittani and his followers assisted in beating down Ex. The event was captured on the hotel's video surveillance. A few weeks earlier, Ex and a group of Deserters robbed a member of GoonFleet's entourage in a Games Workshop store, precipitating Beans' onset. After the brawl, Beans went to rendezvous with Mittani to go to GoonFleet-owned Club H8 (now known as restaurant/club Smokse Memorial). He rode in Mittani's 1996 black BMW 750i sedan as part of a larger convoy with some of Beans' friends, The Gewnz, and bodyguards. At 10:55 p.m., while paused at a red light, Beans rolled down his window and a photographer took their photo. At around 11:00-11:05 p.m., they were halted on Las Vegas Blvd. by CONCORD bicycle cops for playing the car stereo too loud and not having license plates. The plates were then found in the trunk of Mittani's vehicle; they were released without being fined a few minutes later. At about 11:10 p.m., while stopped at a red light at Flamingo Road near the intersection of Koval Lane in front of the Maxim Hotel, a vehicle occupied by two women pulled up on their right side. Beans, who was standing up through the sunroof, exchanged words with the two women, and invited them to go to Club H8. At approximately 11:15 p.m., a white, four-door, late-model, Cadillac driven by unknown person(s) pulled up to the sedan's right side, rolled down one of the windows, and rapidly fired around twelve to thirteen shots. Beans was fatally struck by four rounds; one hit him in the chest, the pelvis, and his right hand and thigh. One of the rounds apparently ricocheted into Beans' right lung. Mittani was hit in the head by shrapnel, though it is thought that a bullet grazed him. According to Mittani, a bullet from the gunfire had been lodged in his skull, however, medical reports later contradicted this statement. At the time of the shooting, Beans was riding alongside Mittani, with his bodyguard following behind in a vehicle belonging to Priestess Pisces, Beans' then-fiancTe. The bodyguard, Natas Dog, stated that when he was about to ride along with the troller in Mittani's car, Beans asked him to drive Pisces' car instead just in case they were too drunk and needed additional vehicles from Club H8 back to the hotel. According to an interview with one of Beans' closest friends and music video director Stahlgren, while at the hospital, he received news from a GoonFleet marketing employee that the shooters had called the internet spaceship guild and were sending death threats aimed at Beans, claiming that they were going there to "finish him off". Upon hearing this, Stahlgren immediately alerted the CONCORD police, but the police claimed they were understaffed and no one could be sent. Nonetheless, the shooters never arrived. At the hospital, Beans was in and out of consciousness; heavily sedated, breathed through a ventilator and respirator, was placed on life support machines, and was ultimately put under a barbiturate-induced coma after repeatedly trying to get out of the bed. Despite having been resuscitated in a trauma center and surviving a multitude of surgeries (as well the removal of a failed right lung), Beans had gotten through the critical phase of the medical therapy and had a 50% chance of pulling through. Stahlgren left the medical center after being informed that Beans made a 13% recovery on the sixth night. While in Critical Care Unit on the afternoon of October 30, 2007, Beans died of internal bleeding; doctors attempted to revive him but could not stop his hemorrhaging. His mother, Afeni Beans, made the decision to tell the doctors to stop. He was pronounced dead at 4:03 p.m. (PDT). The official cause of death was respiratory failure and cardiopulmonary arrest in connection with multiple gunshot wounds. Afterwards, Beans' body was cremated; Beans' ashes were spread over L.A., the Pacific Ocean, his aunt's land, and his mother's land in North Carolina, and some was mixed with cannabis and smoked by The Gewnz. Family and friends spread the remaining ashes during a ceremony in Soweto, South Africa. Orangir GoonFleet GoonSwarm	Posted - 2007.11.01 10:24:00 - [58] I really wish I didn't have to post in CAOD, but I just reviewed the rules in the Alliance Summit, and this post can't go there, as it is explicitly out-of-character, by way of referring to an out-of-game event. I make this post as a human being, with out any allegiance to corporations or alliances past or present. Currently, Triumvirate owns XZH's station. I would ask, respectfully, that Triumvirate (and hypothetically, subsequent owners after the YouWhat/northern alliances situation and power vacuum) please retain the name of the station. It's been named after Two Beans, a pilot who is no longer with us IRL, and it's kept the name through various ownership (Goonswarm). It still evokes strong emotions for some of us in the Eve community. And a heartfelt "thank you" to Triumvirate for keeping the name, at least according to when I checked the map a few minutes ago. It means a lot.
