Well, I'm only 50. I started playing wargames with Anzio when I was 12. I played Afrika Corps, Tactics II, D-Day, Gettysburgh, all of them.
First computer game was in 1968, called Trek, played on a teletype machine hooked up to a mainframe at NCR with a 60 baud modem.

I'm 52 - but I'm delighted to say that an in-game buddy of mine is 61.
This means I can bust *his* chops about being such an Olde Pharte all the time.

I'm only 40 but have met players in their 60's. I just had to reply because I love conflict simulation games (tabletop wargames) too and their aren't too many of us around. Have you tried some of the newer games, they a generally simpler, but cover many theaters and are quite good (Twilight Struggle is a current favorite).

Was it that game? Cuz I actually still have the source code for it. Was the first game I hacked - to give 1000 Photon Torps.

Yes, 60th coming up and I also have a copy of Tactics II. Plus, a review copy of Dungeons & Dragons. I still play both genres, didn't get into MMORPGs until Earth & Beyond as I didn't fancy Elves and Dwarves Online.

I cut my teeth on TREK73 and Adventure, games played on an ASR33 teletype machine hooked to an HP2000F time sharing system. They eventually removed these games as the combined 132mb(YES, megabytes) of space was to large and ate up the systems resources.
