Should I phone the police or not?

He wasn't joking, and where I am from failure to report such an event is a criminal offense. I have petitioned the matter and expected an immediate response, if only for the language content alone. So far, nothing from CCP. (No surprises there I guess) I have the logs, and I am considering phoning the police in Iceland and the media reporting CCP for failure to report a criminal act. The story would have it all huh? Sex, internet video games, international police attention. How long would you wait to call the police? Am I to be extradited for trial or are they simply going to call up the US and be like "Sup guys here's the deal" and then prosecute me here then in Iceland? Or we have the more likely alternative, you alert the authorities, they say "OK ya we'll handle it" and nothing more of it is ever heard. Because in the end, nobody cares, unless there's some sort of solid evidence. CCP would also need to release the records, which most companies normally don't do even when it has to do with a trial, and that's for US based countries. I can't even imagine the size of the middle finger a company based in another country would give a US Attorney asking for records of X Y and Z to be emailed to him. That has User privacy violated written all over it. But for the sake of humor let's say it all happens, and it goes down as you say it does, and we are found innocent(imagine that), then we get to turn around and sue you, not for one, but at least four seperate charges. Taikun But see that's a crime or a path to a crime that happens in game, and while that will probably get the guy banned, unless he actually gets/takes pics of her or conducts himself improperly with her in person he hasn't commited any sort of crime yet, and thus is not guilty of anything. Is Mr. "#ñ"# "#ñ"# available, i said no he's at work (my husband)" I naturally asked what was this all about and the agent said "This is about internet forum, and a posting in it." After this he gave me the post, and sure enough it was the same post that i had made. I started to laugh, (It was serious matter to the Security Police, so he stared me as a mad woman) then i said yes i posted this on the conspiracy forums while i was drunk. Then i said don't you have anything better to do than run around and read internet forums. The agent looked grim and said, we got this from United States goverment agency and we were told to investigate this matter, we take all terrorist activity seriously. At this point i was laughing pretty hard, i told them that they should e-mail the agency and tell them to stop reading conspiracy forums and start finding the terrorist from other sources, seriously do they just browse the internet to find terrorists? Do they belive that a terrorist would share their plan of world destruction in detail, with an internet forum? Those CIA or FBI guys are seriously ********. Or spies, or people that take other things without them realising it....we will call them scammers for the sake of this post. Also, the problem with "admitting to a crime" is that if there was no crime, and you say you did something, you aren't admitting to a crime. Because there has to be a valid crime to admit to, before you can admit to doing it. So if my ex were to say...still be living, im not doing anything wrong because obviously her body was not dumped. Or maybe I cloned her and its all an elaborate cover story :tinfoil:

When they get the correct data the police should be contacted, and they should move to confiscate any computer equipment and bring the suspect in for questioning. people think internet is a cloak of shadow, and they seam to think they are untouchable. many people have been learning that they are not, usually in a har and expensive way. Anything that realates to real life incidents, have to be taken seriously. But ccp is the first step. They might have seen your petition and investigated it. they might sit on inforamtion you dont know anything about. and in no case they will report to you what actions they might have taken about this. you petitioned it, your part is done and over. move on.

I hope CCP take this issue seriously and deals harshly who feel claiming they have raping others is an acceptable part of this game. It is a crime, and has no place in this game.
