Since the Warp Disruption fields show up on killmails now I tried if they created an agression logout timer like an AoE weapon and it appears they do in case of disrupt probes, fields and deployed bubbles. This is a very good change as it eliminates the ctrl-q escape any large ship had when jumping into a bubble camp.
There is a risk (more like certainty) of abuse here as the Heavy Interdictors can turn on the field, log off and the ship will remain in space with the field active for 15 minutes. So you can jump into a system with no one in local and still run into a Heavy Interdictor on the next gate bubbling you.
Is it possible to get a confirmation on this change into the already muddy rules on agression timers ?

How do you manage to logout without your modules deactivating? -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

Autorepeating modules (except cloaks) remain active when you exit the game due to crashing or quitting both on SiSi and Tranquility.

Thanks for the correction, I was under the impression that for example active tanks shut down on logout. -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

If the field causes aggression, doesn't it mean that the heavy dictor also gets aggressed and stays in space?

Yes, even though activating the field does not cause the kind of agression flag that prevents docking or jumping through a gate the ship remains in space for 15 minutes. In that time it will keep the field active and keep moving straight ahead if it was moving at the time of the log off.

Care to explain how you have reached that surprising conclusion?
From my mission running experience with lost connections the autorepeating modules are deactivated at the same time that the lost connection is detected.
From my experience only passive modules will work.

I have had a PC crash once while my ship was attacking a target and we were both in a dictor bubble. When I logged back in the other ships was dead and there was a killmail in my inbox, my ship had continued to fire in the time I was not logged in.
It might be the case that active modules only remain active as long as the ship is prevented from emergency-warping away by being in a warp disruption zone. The effect with Heavy Interdictors is very easy to observe by tunrning on the field and logging off.

I think you where lucky and that EVE detected the crash only after some time; I had that happening to me while playing with 2 accounts, one crashed while the other had no problems.
EVE noticed the loss of connection after several minutes so I had the "pleasure" to see my dominix being killed by NPC from the other account, while trying to reconnect.
I don't know how the system detect the lack of connection, but apparently there is a latency between the actual loss of signal and the time when EVE decide the signal is effectively lost (probably to avoid problems with micro interruptions).
So if the server hadn't yet noticed the loss of signal the active modules stay active (gun firing on the last target and so on), that will allow you to kill a already badly damaged target.
While I can't guarantee that my opinion is 100% exact, from what I know I am fairly sure that autorepeat disactive as soon as the server notice the loss of connection.
So I think it is possible to get 1 cycle of the module after disconnecting, but no more.
Edit:
TY for the reply. Even if I disagree it is food for thought and further tests.
