Hi there.
I was wondering if I was the only one that would like Insurance policy to be a Subscription type of fee, like the lab slots and Factory slots.
So that 2 days before your subscription expires you get a mail and a bill issued that you can pay and get another 3 weeks...
That way fewer pp would loose uninsured ships soon after the insurance expires with out then noticing...
Just a thought???

jep I have been in that situation once...
and there I got the idea for this post. I had just checked the insureace the day before (and was in a hurry) saw that it was insured but lika an idiot didn't check the date.
The day after I lost my scorp... not fun to loose a BS and not get anything. hehe, hummm.

I think it'd be nice to have a kind of premium for insurance, where you paid into it as long as you owned the ship, only a smaller amount, every so often. Then, when your precious goes up in flames and space dust, you get paid back a large percentage of the money you've paid out. This would prevent: 1) Insurance exploits, because you'd only get back what you put out 2) Your note, Viga, where you run out of insurance without realizing it 3) not getting **** back for your ship when it costs millions and you get millions less 4) the lack of insurance on what you put ON the ship, and subsequently lose.
The fourth point is my main point of contention. I don't like buying all new miners and big guns without at least having the capability of receiving some kind of realistic compensation. The only disadvantage is you'd have to stay out of trouble for a while while your insurance builds up. Perhaps to prevent this, you could pay a forward payment or something, like a deposit, that counts towards your future bills. |
