Explain to me why we did not get a 800k+ sp boost? (We being '03-05 players)
Make an alt now and you get handed free SP?
CCP did this to help newer players? Why have they not been given more?

You have the same opportunity that everyone else had to get your extra 800 sp helper, and I assume from your comment that you didn't take it.
No one at fault for that here, except you...

The boost was intended to give STARTER characters the ability to be acceptably useful from the moment they are created. It wasn't meant to be a free SP boost. If you have an old character with less than 800k SP, terminate it and create a new one. If you have over 800k SP then you are already more skilled than the starter characters, and have no right to be demanding for SP.

Because there was a point where a month old character could be surpassed by a day old character in SP. So CCP gave the noobs that fell in this category a boost to compensate. So the new noobs weren't out performing the old noobs and the old noobs would be pretty much even with the new noobs.
Ofc there were old noobs who took exception to their month of play time being made inconsequential at the drop of a hat and wanted more of an SP boost. I argued that us old old noobs who had been playing a year were just as deserving and either we all should get a boost or no one. But no one saw the sense of that because it was so evident that the new noobs were suddenly >>> then the old noobs, so everyone said STFU give them free SPzzzz!
But so much time has passed now that you must be nub noob to even be talking about it at this point. Either make a new nub noob or stick with your old old noob or maybe just switch to decafinated....
imo

The case for both points seem valid, but one side seems blinded.
The increase in skillpoints for newly created characters seems like a good move to facilitate growth in the game (giving people a better chance to experience the game before making judgement to activate account).
There are a few issues with giving skillpoints to esisting characters though. 1) only a portion received 2 weeks of training a) training is equivalent to $7.475 for every eligible character in every account b) training time is more desired that stated above (remember alot of low sp got shafted too)
2) No understandable reason not to implement it across the board. Older character with high skillpoints may say it is miniscule to their total skillpoints, but that serves to reinforce the point that it would not give the older characters insurmountable advantage.
