Is this scam claased as a exploit?
Player 1 selling a CNR.
Player 2 buying CNR.
Player 1 puts CNR in trade.
Player 2 puts isk in trade.
Player 1 cancells and says just a sec.
Player 1 reopens trade and puts CNR in trade.
Player 2 puts isk in trade.
Player 1 cancells and says sorry forgot to take cargo out.
Player 1 puts Raven!! in trade.
Player 2 puts isk in trade and accepts.
is that a exploit?

nope, that's a classic MMO scam, used in all MMO's to switch two similar items or money values. i think this one's been around since the dawn of time, and if you jsut got caught out, then it sucks to be you :P

No, look closely before you accept the trade. If you dont make sure your getting what your supposed to, then your going to get screwed.

He worked you, there's no doubt about it. But in my opinion it is your responsibility to check what you're getting, every time before clicking accept, every time. In fact, all that canceling would have made my spidey sense tingle. Sorry for your loss.

fair enough. in whic hcase,if you just pulled this one off, i take my hat off to you, for finding a mark dumb enough to fall for the oldest scam in MMO history (other than "i'll help you , little newbie", then taking them out into the middle of nowhere and slapping the smeg out of them).

thats basically why i only use contracts for expensive stuff. but be sure ur carefull with contracts too because i have seen people trying to scam others there as well

Typical switcharoo scam. There is however a variation of this scam (not sure if CCP nerfed that one so i wont explain it here) that *IS* an exploit because it relies on a glitch rather than on the player's gullibility. |
