I have proposal to add ability to reproces corpses with implants as a recoverable materials.
Ofcourse not all implants, but maybe something chance based, for example 20% chances to recover implant from corpse head with net yield at 100%.
Maybe even a new skill like "Biomas Reprocessing" with 5% reduction in biomass refining waste per skill level, with skill req: Refinery at lvl5 Refinery Efficency at lvl5 Biology at lvl5

I really like the idea.
And it could be applied to ship reprocessing with chance to get rigs...

skill would have to cost a lot as currently implants especially pirate ones are nice lp/isk sinks when they go boom

And players with low sec status (for example -9.9) or expensive ships (t2 or faction) will be more interested targets, cause its better chance that they have plugged pirate implants (snake for example), or at least good hardwires.
PVP will be a bit more interesting (whole gangs hunting best pvp'ers in neighborhood).

If he is, he's in for a big disappointment. It's unlikely EVE currently registers which implant the owner had upon dying so reprocessing any of those corpses won't give any implants.

The risk here is that it'll make it more worthwhile to suicide gank the high-sec ubercarebears, who are doubtless running full implant sets along with their officer-fitted mission CNRs.

It is not a risk. It is a wonderful chance!

Lol, I've got a fairly ridiculous amount of corpses myself ...
Be nice if I could do something else to them for a change.

Its an old idea and like the "I want a hacking skill to allow me to steal isk out of another players wallet" threads its a pointless thread.
CCP have always had the position that once implanted implants are destroyed, there is no way of getting them back.
The populace (mainly then PvP players) have ever since implants were introduced asked for a way to extract the cranial goodies, usually there are more threads when implant prices go upp or new and initially inzanelly priced ones are introduced.
I have yet to see a reply from CCP that did not in essence read "No!" and that is the long version of it. Usually CCP simply do not reply.
