im looking for a good stabber setup, i dont have the skills for any real shields or hull upgrades yet. im just looking for a bit more firepower untill i get an intercepter (ALLMOST THERE!!!) my setup at the moment is:
hi-
2x 650mm arty cannons (unnamed)
2x 425mm autocannons (unnamed)
1x rudemetry small concussion bomb
1x compact 'lemois' assult launcher with sabertooth light missiles
med-
3x civ shield booster
low-
1x basic gyro (dmg mod)
1x type e overdrive
1x named inetria stablizers
yea i know thats a really bad setup but thats what i got

You don't use 3 CIVILIAN SHIELD BOOSTERS, do you ?
Why don't you put on a medium one instead and use the 2 med slots otherwise ?

All you need is shield operation at level1 or 2 AFAIK.

...so go get them... they are not as hard to get (xept maybe the tac shield skill)
and shield boosters only need shield op lvl1 (i think)

my brother shares my acount and is training his lvl 5 skills at the moment so i wont be able to for a WILE

You either use a good setup or you die.
NPCs are not going to make allowances for you.
The real question is, do you want to lose the ship or not?
If your brother can't use a proper shield booster, tell him to keep flying frigates until he does, or you will both lose this ship.

I'm useing this:
1x 650mm artillery
2x 720mm artillery
1x 250mm small artillery
2x heavy launchers
1x 10mn mwd
1x medium cap battery
1x medium shield booster
3x reactor control

Training your skills to level 1 or 2 won't take very long. Ask your brother to give you a break and let you train a couple of those.

heya. i had a great time in my stabber till i upgraded a few days ago.
2 x 720 artys
1 x 425 autocannon
2 x standard launchers. i used thunderbolts and havocs.
1 x med shield booster
1 x 10nm afterburner
1 x thermal or EM hardener (depending on the rats to kill)
1 x speed mod
1 x damage mod
1 x warp stabiliser
with this setup i could take out 85k rats for my lvl 3 agent missions and clear out any empire rat spawn with no hassles.
