I have read a couple of times about hidden belts. I am not sure what people are calling hidden. Is it a belt that is not navigated to by just right clicking on the screen to get to it. Or is it a belt that is on the map but it is pretty far from where you arrive at?
Can someone please enlighten me

Hidden belts are found through exploration, and usually yield greater rewards than the belts accessible through your nav-menu.

Ahh cool Thanks! I actually just found a site that talked about it some. This is pretty exciteing makes me feel like Columbus getting ready to make a big discovery!!
I wonder how many belts there actually are in a system? Is it like double what you see on the nav-menu or are there more?

Speaking as one who doesn't utilize exploration skills I was nevertheless under the impression that they were very rare. Like often not any in system and having to travel around a bit just to find one. Personally I'm happy with the static spawned ones.

From what I gather I think every system has them. You just have to be lucky in finding them as they are indeed hard to find but findable.

Not every system has them, though they do seem to be much more common in lowsec / 0.0 (probably because the highsec ones are found and mined out quickly).

'before' exploration existed. Hidden belts just refered to belts that were big enough a portion of them was off-grid from the warp in point. Thus if you juts traveled in a straight line you could stumble upon the other part of an existing belt, and be invisible from anyone who warped to that warp-in point of that belt.
