Being able to access that much info with the press of a button is plain stupid. Where is a pilots anonymity at?
Why does my corp and creation date info have to be on front street all the time?
If CCP can not give me the option to go anonymous from prying eyes then this game is really far behind the rest of the PVP games.
It's their sfault for not having the option coded in before they started building the PvP codes. Seriously name me MMO's that do not have this option? Or someone should have had enough forsight to know people like to have this option and to not let this option keep PvP aspect of the game in handicap mode for 5 years.
OMG WOW, I might actualy have to not use local for Intel that should be scouted out by a squadamate or yourself and actualy have to risk somthing?
Give a small training bonus (I mean like super small!) to players when anon is not on! <---- This is just an example. Incentives or somthing. Personaly , I feel that I owe my creation date and corp employment history to the corp I belong to NOT ANYONE ELSE..
If people want to be anonymous from Local they should have a right to be.
The game is in easymode until local jerking is fixed.
I doubt CCP would would address this because they do not want to **** their noob playerbase off.
Flame away ! remember though ,this option could nerf your easymode.

6/10 for effort, although currently heading towards a Fail unless references are cited and a well-constructed argument is presented before the conclusion.
I hope to see improvement in your next submission.

Right, because your date of creation tells the enemy anything. Like, if you're flying a capital, an hauler or a frigate. Or if it is fitted for combat, ratting, mining, scouting, hauling, etc.
Even in other games (and god knows how many MMOG I played) anon is useful only in one situation: avoiding private messages from unknown people, group invites, beggars, etc.
If you want this in Eve online then you just have to select the auto reject private conversations and gang invites option and you're done.
Beside this, anon in eve makes no sense since you are known to all the authorities and since you are a member of a corporation no matter what you do, you are known through that corporation. There's no way yuo can be an "unknown" person.

You got the point is all that matters. I am not a programmer or a college grad but, I did stay at a Holliday Inn Express.
My GED and my Journeyman T1 Technician work gets the bills paid just fine.

It would scare people to death to know there would be a high possibilty that there are more people in a system than is what is shown in local.
They also would not be able to search a possible threat lvl.
It would be like taking a screw driver from a car theif.
