A very large fleet battle was fought in j7yr-1
solarsystem in the Branch region after downtime today.
The forces involved were Insurgency against CPU, Giant
Space Ameoba, Stellar Polar and phoenix alliantz.
the combined forces of CPU and friends were logged of
inside j7 at the CPU pos. INSRG forces had also logged
out inside the system. As the sever came up their were
minor scuffles for system control which was eventualy
won by Insurgency. Positions were set up and wings
formed by both sides as more and more pilots logged
in. The gangs numbered 80 on the INSRG side and 150 on
the CPU side.
A second gang of CPU/GSA/Stellar polar pilots
numbering 25 was seen departing from BKG-Q2 (rzr
outpost) bound for J7.
Upon the arrival of the 25 man gang on the far side of
the j7 gate all INSRG support locked it down. Shortly
after this the CPU gang jumped in and warped in their
fleet already in j7, INSRG snipers warped in and the
fighting started.
40 minutes later the dust was settling on the field of
wrecks and corpses, kills and losses were cpunted and
all pilots tipped hats to each oter in local.
Final Score - INSRG killed 71 and lost 11

Thank you for a lovely report, i must admit i am very happy to find something different besides BoB vs Goons and all that old chestnut, I hope for more of this kind of thing in the future now that goons have taken advantage of fanfest, trying to claim superiority on the boards to belittle anyones opinion but their own :)

The reason for such a large battle was the defence of our large pos in the system which was put into reinforced a few days ago by a massive enemy fleet... i actually am amazed its lasted this long.
intell was that all the alliances were going to form together and take on little old us, no love when it came out of reinforced today.. they also had the possibility of 3 MS and a titan from a friendly alliace, plans were in place to counter the titan and maybe kill it (thanks lads ), these plans were not needed and in the end it was just one massive fleet fight.
good fun and one of the largest battles ever for us. now if u dont mind i need a couple of very strong drinks .
All we want is a stronger north, INSRG will give the north that.
