Edited by: Ahz on 04/11/2007 08:29:59 High: 3x 150mm II (barrage) + Arbi Rocket Launcher Mids: Web + Scram + Med shield extender + MWD (cold-gas arcjet) Lows: 2x Gyrostab II + Tracking Enhancer II
Used mostly for PvP raids.
Not really getting the kick out of it I'd hoped. Please let me know if you've got ideas.
Thanks!
Note: Advanced Weapons Upgrades 4 to get this all to fit.

Never flown it, but want to fly it someday. Some ideas:
Maybe drop the web and fit some shield resist. Drop the tracking enhancer for close range guns, fit a 3rd gyro or a damage control in there.
Just thoughts.

Edited by: dor amwar on 04/11/2007 10:01:43 with the 150s won't have any tracking probes, smart flying of the ship should solve any. TEs are not worth the slot. fit an OD, you'll be surprised how that boost really helps. the nano hits your structure, don't like that. dcu is also good.

iirc my set up is
3x 150mm II w/ barrage, arbi rocket
warp disrupter II, mwd II 2x best named shield extenders (gives you near 3k shields)
2x OD 1x DCU ( or 1x OD MAPC + DCU )
nice speed + it can take a beating for a while

3 x acs 1 x rocket/nos
1 x t2 ab (i prefer abs) 1 x 20km scram 1 x invul/web 1 x t2 med extender
3 x spr`s
1 x kinetic screen rig (never fly jag without this)
or.....
3 x ac`s 1 x rocket or nos
1 x t2 med extender 1 x t2 small booster 1 x t2 ab 1 x scram 20km
3 x gyro (damage) or pds (tank) or a mix
1 x kinetic screenrig (never fly jag without this) ![Wink](/images/icon_wink.gif)
ps trackin enchancer on small ac`s is not necessary

yes thats correct and is what i meant, it makes a very nice tank.
occasionally i may even lose the web or invul on that particular setup and fit a 2nd medium/small extender to really maximse tanking.
IIRC 2 t2 medium extenders wont fit, but at a strech if your well skilled up its possile to fit a t2 med extender and a named (lowest fitting version) med extender.
Until you can squeeze a medext on you can try a t2 small extender.
The reason for this is when using sheild power relays they operate better with more sheild hp`s.
t1 spr`s are ok but as always if u can afford it t2 are better, but that will push the cost of the ship through the roof.
cap recharge is ok to keep modules running but if you do have probs a nos will aid powering the scram.

Upgrade to MSE II. Drop the web for Kinetic resistance amp II Lows - OD, (Nano or istab) I prefer nano, Gyro
If you really wanted to keep the web, you *could* consider a kinetic rig over the mid-slot resistance amp, but that's adding quite a bit of ISK to a ship that is already overpriced and limited in capability.

Resistance rigs are very cheap though.

Thanks guys.
It seems pretty consistant that people are recommending speed over damage.
I guess 150s just don't hit hard enough to turn the tide in battle no matter what you do.
If that's the case I should be swapping out the gyrostabs in the lows for nanos and overdrives.
If I do that I may have the cap for 200mms instead of the 150s.
Would be faster and hit harder at the same time.
Thanks again.
p.s. whoever said these things are overpriced for the damage they do is right. This is a 25m setup (only about 3m is insurable) and it dies in seconds in any major fleet engagement.

I'm training up to get into one of these myself and I'm just wondering how those of you with 2 extenders or extender plus invul field manage without a web? Its one of the most powerfull mods in the game (possibly only beaten by damage control) and almost everyone fits one. Without a counter web what tactics do you use since surely you cant control range anymore?

Ay. Pulling just under 95 DPS with 200mm's, 2 nanos and 1 od 2.

Edited by: Miss Miata on 05/11/2007 01:14:53 Edited by: Miss Miata on 05/11/2007 01:11:34 well ive tried countless setips and the jaguar is is fast enuff as it is especilly compared to the other af`s.
adding nanos and overdrives seems a waste of slots on pretty much the fastest most manouverable frig. that extra speed and agility is gonna do nada imo, its nice but the slots can be much better spent.
the jag excells as a passive tank and its a crime not to fit spr`s to it. i can only giggle when my jag is reppin a nooby cruisers damage all on it own and if at the point hes about to break ya tank and needs to reload his ammo your pretty much repped by the time hes shootin again. ![Laughing](/images/icon_lol.gif)
ive paid between 9-15 mill dfor my jags so 4 mill for a kinetic rig (which iis worth its weight in gold) to fill ya major hole isnt much in the scheme of things. i just think of it as a jaguar costs that much as i would never take one out without one.
as to missing out a web, i love webs, but again your in a fast frig, even webbed its got a fair turn of speed so in fights where im going up close with hail rather than in falloff with barrage i can live without 1, although id normally try to fit 1.
lastly i virtually never fit 200`s the improved trackin on 150`s means theres almost nothing in the damage difference over time.

Yeah. That's why you should fly a T1 cruiser instead. Less money, more power. Though, to get full advantage of Mini cruisers, you should really have T2 med projectiles.
I loved the Jag a lot. Very fun ship, but don't expect to kill much with it but frigs. You can kill larger ships, but usually only if they are badly fitted/piloted. If you like speed, check out the Stabber. Very nice with T2 meds and barrage.
