Hi!
Here is my problem...
I can log in the game and see the character selection screen. When I select my primary character who is in Jita Station, the loading bar loads up and... stuck... black screen and nothing.
I can create a new character and play, there is no problem. If I go in Jita Station with my new character, it get stuck again... same thing...
I tried to delete the EVE Folder in Documents&Settings, always the same problem...
Do you have a solution for this ? I'm using a router, there is specified ports I need to open ?

HI
got the same problem... I have a char in Jita to buy and sell things but today i couldnt log the char in :(
The the entering game as xxx bar loads up... than nothing else is happening.
I tryed /end /LUA:OFF and killed the cache folder but still i cant log in, in Jita.
With my other char on the same account all works fine just not in Jita :/

Lame im stuck for 2 hours cant log in, im in jita ofcourse and ive run out of skill training.
This is tottaly lame, i ve been trying to log in for 2 whole hours, but no luck. nothing.
Im paying a game that i cant play.
WTF is going on. I mean i've seen trying for 10minutes, 15minutes, and even if 10 minutes waiting to log in is bad, i wouldnt complain.
BUT THIS IS 2 HOURS! FFS
I want 2 hours extention at my subscription, and my lost SPs.

I'm getting the same issue. Happend briefly before but in this case I jumped through a star gate but the view remained in the system I jumped from. Nothing happened for 10 mins, restarted eve and now I can't get in the game, it just returns me to the character screen after a long wait.

Yep exactly the same. After 5 minutes of loading... screen, back to the character selection screen. If i log in with other character, outside jita, everything seems fine...
LAME 2.30 hours of continually trying to log in. Now i must leave my PC so this will leave me with 15 hours without skill.
(i cant wait forever @ my PC trying to get online, i have a real life also...)

OMG i have the same problem but are we just going to sit here wallowing in our self pity? Why don't we do something about this????????????? I am going to look into this more..... if i find a solution i will post it here, but i STRONGLY ENCOURAGE other people with this problem to look into it too.

Less than 27K ppl online, and still no luck.
I would be tolerant if it was 36K people, but now what is the problem. At least give us a qeueu number, or a priority number to know that we have a chance...

Okay, I have a solution! (this is probably due to the fact that I have absolutely no patience...) So, I submitted the bug report, but I couldn't wait. I decided to download the patch so I could see if it worked on the test servers. I went to the test server "Multiplicity" and the window popped up saying something about downloading a patch. So naturally, I downloaded it. But however, when the time to install it came around, it said something about not being able to play on Tranquility. So I abandoned the attempt, and I decided to try logging in to Tranquility one last time (which I thought was going to be a futile attempt of freedom). I was ready to hit escape and close the game, when I saw my ship...... then I instantly logged off and went to report this on the forums.
Now, for those of you who weren't able to follow that too well, here are some step by step instructions:
1) Launch the EVE client
2) Switch the server from Tranquility to Multiplicity (not singularity).
3) Download the patch
4) DO NOT INSTALL THE PATCH! Let the install window come up, then close it.
5) Go back to loving EVE and do whatever you needed to do in Jita.
6) Send Blythl donations...... :P

Well, crap.
I just tried to log on again, but IT DIDN'T FREAKING WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can try the above, and if you are able to log on, GET OUT OF JITA BEFORE YOU LOG OFF.
Hopefully, I will get an email telling me how to permanently fix this issue.

Tried your solution Blythl, and was able to log in, but i got the black screen of death when i undocked my ship from my station to try and get the hell out of Jita.
O well, hopefully someone at CCP figures out whats happening soon
