Greets,
Been doing missions so far up till now, just have a quick question seeing as I can't find an answer anywhere. I'm wanting to try out pirating (pvp pirating ofc), but my concern is I have good standings with the Caldari State and Spacelane agents, will I lose standing with them (or with any faction/corporation or agent) if I start pirating? I would like to return to missioning at some point down the line after my pirating ventures and am wondering if I can basically ick up where I left off without having to regain standings with my agents and faction/corporations.
Thanks

Shooting other players will cause your security status to drop.
If your security status drops low enough, you can't enter certain security rating space. If it drops to -5 or lower, you can't enter high sec space at all.
Shooting other players will not cause your Caldari State or your Spacelane patrol standings to dorp.

Thanks for the reply, so just to clarify:
If I was to go true -10 sec status then 12 months down the line I decided to go back to missioning etc, I'd just have to get my sec status back up and nothing else? I'd still be exactly where I was standings wise as if I never went to pirate at all?
sorry to bug, been getting mixed replies in Rookie Help, and I just want to be sure.
Thanks

You are correct. Though you'll still be able to use any Cal agents in low sec, even if -10.

You should be able to use them in high sec too, only you'd be dodging naval forces the whole way (note, the forces pursuing you when entering high sec as a criminal are NOT CONCORD. They can be tanked, beaten and legitimately evaded. They are still mean bastages though).
