Well, you removed the hauling feature of the motherships thanks to no more loaded indies in the ship maint bay, but then be at least consequent and increase their ability to be REAL Motherships. You should be able to field a fleet of at least 10 BS`s in to a Mothership:
Imagine following scenario: 15 Alliance pilots store store their BS`s intp the nyx, and allo their ammo and adjust equipment into the Corp hangar, and also install jump clones (YOu really have to remove the jump clone timer when jumpin to MS`s and titans, otherwise its really useless). Motherhips jump to target location, pilots jumpclone to it and launch their little assault fleet. Isn`t that the role you intended them for?
Then pls make it happen! A bigger Corp Hangar of at least 100k m¦ wouldn`t hurt as well.
And ALSO FIX THE HANGAR ACCESS! Make it possible for people not in your corp/alliance to access it!

This was the best joke i heard. Dev's took away the hauling capability because they don't wanted that carriers and MS's can fight and remote rep and hauling in same time. If u increase corp hangar to 100k and ship bay to 5m as u suggested than additionally u can deploy a fleet and still haul a lot :)

So what are you saying? Ms`s only future role should be remote repping? Even the rorqual can still haul 120k m¦, so 100k m¦ corp hangar for a mothership isn`t that much, especially if you compare the cost. And with the new "you can¦T put fitted ships loaded with cargo" nerf for carrier and MS`S a bigger Ship Maint Array doesn`t increase its hauling ability equipment wise. Sure, it can haul more ships, but that is the inteded role , isn`t it?

I do agree that for the premium price tag MS have, they should have combat logistical advantages, like storing a lot of BS for example.

Seeing the cost of jump freighters, sounds like a 100k corp hangar won't happen... But, the ship maintenance array could be much larger, as motherships should have.
Do you remember the titan-like ship behind the moon in independance day? (ok, maybe you didn't like the movie) It deployed what? 6 motherships of the size of a big city, which deployed hundreds of smaller ships (frigates/fighters). Those things can be called motherships, they were impressive, they had a 'superweapon' (well, the superlaser seems to be the jove toy from the backstory)...
My point is : A mothership should be able to drop a fleet of small and medium sized ships in space. But in facts, it can only deploy a small number of cruisers, and the pilots can't be transported by the mothership. Actually, they look small, they are small inside, they are expensive and they aren't too cool lately. Make them real fleet logistic ship, make them bring pilots and ships carried in ship maint bay (will be ok if the ships can only have ammo and charges in cargohold, we're talking about a fleet here). Then, the mothership would jump in, launch fighters for temporary cover, and pilots would begin undocking the mothership. This would be a real mothership, not what we have now. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

there is no reality in CCPs thinking and EVE.
What happens with carriers when they are docked? Shrinked? Like, stations are big as a titan or smth, from where they can all gather this large ships inside?
I do agree on MSs to have larger ship bays to field ALOT of ships..

signed...for all the whole lot of no good its going to do. The devs dont give one airborne monkey rectal spewery what happens to carriers/MSs. They wont be happy until their cargo capacity is in the negatives and their ship bonus reads '50% bonus per level of lubricant effectiveness. Yer gunna need it.'

A mothership is the second most expensive ship in game, takes years to train, and should be a highlight in everyone`s carreer if they finally fly one. But when the new patch will jit, they will be slightly better than a normal carrier, but 25 times more expensive!
- Remote ecm burst is a joke - Their hauling role has been removed due to no industrial in ship maint bay (and this was key role for ms`s) - CCP puts another damokles sword ahead of ms`s with that active drone reduction somewhere in the future, that would remove 75% of their offensive power. - Invulnerable to ecm: Well, the new interdictors will be able to warp scramble them in lowsec (which is actually a good thing) They already can be warp scrambeled in 0.0 They can be bumped and completly stopped by any ship, even a pod, so invulnerability against webs doesn`t matter much too. - Mothership role: They can only place 4 BS`s on their ship maint bay, and they only can store ships, no pilots.
You really have to imporve the ms`s in some way after all this nerfing! When trinity hits, they will have no role at all!

i would also like to see a mothership turn into a true mothership, ie have a maint bay capable of carrying a number of larger ships. i think this was it's intended role when conceived (with the jumpclone stuff) and i really like the idea of it.
having your gang base itself out of a mothership seems very appealing, especially in 0.0 warfare and "behind enemy lines" type stuff. the mothership would be used for COMBAT logistics, and as a frontline base.

Ohh, that's another idea... make it so that pods can enter the clone vat on the ship so you can store your ship in the sma, dock your pod in the clone vat, and hitch a ride when the MS jump drives.

Carrier get their Ship Maint Array doubled, why don`t recieve MS`S the same treatment there? They will be affected by all the nerfs the small carriers hits + you they will be warp scrambled in low sec now too, so they really deserve some love and bonuses on other roles!
Otherwise, you really need to change the description on the MS`S: For Example Nyx: "Indeed, the Nyx itself is emblematic of the GallenteansĘ love for progress; packed to the ergonomic brim with the latest in cutting-edge advancements, it is a proud reminder of the things that make the Federation what it is."
to:
"Indeed, the Nyx itself is emblematic of the GallenteansĘ love for overpriced items; packed to the ergonomic brim with the same technology as the Thanatos, you just can`t dock with it, insure it and you will be chained to it for the rest of your life. And you get ALL those bonus features for only 25 times the price of the Thanatos!!!"

Yes, why did the Nyx not recieve a double in the ship maint bay like the Thanatos?
