I was just wondering if we could have a compendium on what the total max damage all ships can have. Like, what is the most all-out damage that an industrial can ever give, or a tier 3 BS. I know this is a hard one to answer due to learned skills, but what if all skills that are connected to said ship are at lvl 5, all possible attribute enhancing slots are filled, now could someone tell what max damage would be?
Why do people play Amarr? Because unlike the other races, Amarr characters are much more difficult to play. |

It would be completely useless...but I could do it for a few ships if you really wanted me to.
I'd charge for such an epic waste of time though
Pretty much look at the description of the ship and the layout. That will tell you if a ship will be doing good damage or is meant for something else.
EXAMPLE: If a ship has bonuses to mining and shield repair, not your fighting ship.

Hell, I can do it too in that same "wasted" time. I thought that maybe people would start throwing in their ideas like in other threads.

The only problem with the idea is that a pure damage setup (what I think you're asking for) is pretty much useless except in rare situations.
So knowing who does most pure damage is rather useless.
Knowing full damages if fit for gank (with plates or some kind of tank) would probably get you farther than your original question. But then you get into the problem of what setups to use that effectively and fairly compare damage between ships while still being able to be combat worthy.
Basically, there is no such place because it really would have absolutely no use. Everyone already knows what ships do good damage, and what ships don't. I can give you a list of those or point you to many places that can tell you what ships are good if you want pvp/damage. But as for pure numbers? No

Pure DPS? Raw DPS? What kind of Fitting, what kind of Items(Faction/T2/T1)? And in the end its only the Damage on a 1000 Sig, 0m/s and 0% Resi target. I made such a list to compare the Caldarimissileboats in the german Forum, but the pure DPS isn`t the same like Killspeed or effectiveness in PvP/PvE of a Ship.

If I want an idea of DPS I just use QuickFit. It may not be 100% correct and the value of the data itself may be nil, but it's great for some comparisons. When I want to know max damage I usually use Tech II gear with the most damaging Tech II ammo, three damage mods and the most damaging drone combo. That's my standard index right there, it's meaningless data to anyone but myself though because others might use rigs or faction ammo in comparisons, plus whatever personal variables they decide on.

when I want to know real dmg I plug all the mods I want to in EFT. Get the dmg mod, tracking, etc.
Plug that into the tracking guide here on eve online and put the ammo I want to use and dmg mod is (dmg mod of 1 turret * how many turrets) then I try the avergae sigs and tranversals of frigs, bc's, and bs's

That's what EFT is for with all lvl 5s.

Are you asking for maximum realistic DPS or just plain maximum DPS?
Because I'm pretty sure I got a Velator to 144 DPS on EFT with faction blasters, an officer magstab, and 2 T2 Hobgoblins. Not even sure if I counted implants, and I didn't count any boosters. Also, for max DPS, you'd go with lows filled with PG enhancers (largest guns possible) and officer damage enhancers, plus T2 damage rigs. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |
