No. Perhaps sometime in the future they will be added but not yet. You can equip Afterburners for more speed or if you salvage a lot setup a dedicated ship for salvaging that is fast.

Train for a destroyer and use it as a salvager, use a different ship to do missions in.
It's the way to go to clear up missions adn wrecks quickly. -----------------------------------------------

fit nanofiber internal structures in your lows on a non-mission ship (you should have the skills for it), then fit an afterburner, you should be moderately faster, also, be sure you are fitting a tractor beam witch can bring in cans/wrecks from 20k. i suggest training it if you havent already.

You can also train up Navigation which I believe is 5% more speed per level.

you get salvage from wrecks, which can turn in a tidy profit, or make rigs for your ships.
its a very basic explanation, hope it helps

That is correct. Additionally, the skill "Acceleration Control" will increase the speed boost that you get from Afterburners and Microwarpdrives.
Oh, and I assure you your ship does have a warp drive...

No, I can't! I don't have the skills to fit that module!
I don't know how Eve guys know how im supposed to get around this big space, it's going to take awhile to fit a warp drive.
Is there such a thing as the improbability drive in this game, but like directed, so i can warp to other systems? I opened the map and i don't think i've left my solar system yet, how do you guys get around? My Nitro boosty thing doesnt go fast enough to get to the gates!

Gartel was just messing with you
Warpdrive is a standard on all ships. It lets you warp to 0km, 10km, whatever distance of planets, moons, stations, gates, etc. It's an option you will always have while flying in space. The speed is measured in AU's instead of m/s (which helps a lot in this vast universe ).
What you seem to talk about is the module 'micro warpdrive'. That is indeed only usable with the right skills.
