Right now Rorqual is nearly as good as a T2 freighter. Half the cargo space, less fuel cost for jumps, and probably costing 1/5 or less the price of a T2 freighter. No one will use a T2 freighter unless you nerf the Rorqual. Gogogo CCP nerf, we know it's what you're best at.

Wow, i've never seen anyone ask for a nerf before O.o I applaud you sir!
Mind you, you will most likely be killed by a rorqual pilot within the next hour, might i suggest placing me in your will?

Well, a jump freighter can use jump gates... I didn't get the impression the Rorqual can do that.. Or can they? -- The future begins now - in EVE we live it, in real life we create it!

<.< would YOU use your t2 freighter through jump gates? Your 10 billion isk t2 freighter jump freighter through jump gates that have potential gate camps (heavy escort and scouts? Then why not just do a normal freighter run?), suicide gankers in high sec looking for giggles, and wardecs just itching to cause mayhem?
Being able to jump past gate camps? What about the escorting fleet then? <.< Cause leaving behind the escort fleet isn't the best of ideas, unless you're jumping to a POS cyno beacon (wasn't the idea to reduce the number of POSes in existance?). Your fleet's still gonna have to smash through the camp. I wouldn't leave any freighter unattended unless it was at a POS. The things are just way to vunerable without a support fleet.

Well, if it can use gates its a huge improvement and the death of quite a few lowsec pirates I think.
Instead of having to bring cargo to lowsec to go to 0.0, I can just fill up the freighter in highsec and jump it to 0.0 (POS) by cyno instead of jumping (highsec only prevents jumping into the highsec, not out of highsec to lowsec/0.0.

Instead of asking to nerf a ship that already cost a lot, and is far from a carrier-like solopwnmobile, why not ask for jump freighters to be worth their price tags? More cargo, maybe a low and a mid slot, and/or improved jump range/fuel usage. Or simply reduced build cost and faster copy time on freighters BPOs.... ------------------------------------------

No worries. Carrier pilots will protect him since we already got hit by the nerfbat. What is good for the carrier is good for the rorqual :D

After the carrier nerf for moving pos fuel comes in with the release of the trinity expansion, how do you with your nerf propose that alliances get pos fuel to distant regions?
Its going to be a long time before t2 freighters are common place...

Capital + Tech 2 sounded a strange idea from the start...
Is it so complicated to have a jumpdrive on a box (freighters are not something else)? It needed to be T2? Tier two, a new type of freighter, but, well T2...
How about using an avatar with cargo expanders wouldn't it be much better at the task? And jumpbridges with standard freighters will still rule. Things needs to be cost effective to be used by players! -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

A t2 freighter without capital support to remote cap transfer is a t2 freighter that is going to be sitting a LONG time in one place waiting on cap to fill back up...
Atleast the 'Qual can fit cap recharge gear...

I agree with the OP: CCP has utterly failed to give us proper tools to feed 0.0 alliances, and so we've resorted to using Carriers/Dreads/Rorquals instead. Then they try to nerf them cuz they're 'not being used as intended'.
CCP, when are you going to realize that we're not trying to exploit some game mechanic or use an overpowered ship - we just want to stop all those blinky POS fuel messages.

hey, what do ya know! another nerf thread! HOW SUPPRISING!!! first they nerf carriers. now u want them to nerf the rorqual because it is NEARLY as good as a T2 freighter..what next? u want them to nerf dreads cargo capacity too? OH even better! lets nerf T1 freighters!!! EVEN BETTER! lets reduce the 0.0 alliances in eve to using iteron V's for getting POS fuel to our towers since they have nerfed everything else that we can possibally use get fuel to our towers!
NEXT NERF TO **** OVER 0.0 ALLIANCES:
lets nerf the mackinaw...it mines ice too quickly.

Hey I'm just saying. What was the point of nerfing the carrier? To make the T2 freighter viable. Well it's still not. So there was no point to nerf carriers unless they also nerf the Rorqual.

Why don't you simply ask CCP to make a better T2 freighter? Is it so difficult to ask for a betterment in a thing to come, or is it subtly pleasing to instead ask for a worsen something other people are using already? Isn't it a bit like going to Rolls Royce engineers and tell them: "oh my, I have a Ferrari and it's not nearly as confortable and silent as your damn car, you should nerf it, OK?" --- --- ---

But that would make the T2 freighters unbalanced and therefore too powerful for thier intended role, and thus make the normal freighters obselete. Thus nerfing the Rorqual down to about a around a 7,500 m3 to 10,000 cargo bay would make the jump freighters a fully viable for 0.0 logistics.
