Any chance fanfest 2008 will be held someplace else in Europe other than Iceland? Such as London or Paris or even Germany someplace?
Maybe more people would come if it was?

I believe Oveur said at Fanfest 2006 that CCP is an Icelandic company, and the Fanfest runs in Iceland. Nothing to stop someone running a meet somewhere else though, Paris would be cool.

I think its great that its in iceland, i'm so looking forward to going this year (will be my first time) after years of nagging the wife she finally letting me go - and yes that is a thumb print on my forehead.
Cant wait for details for it come out so i can book my ticket.

Why not bring your wife?
2007 was my first fanfest (similar circumstances to you) and I persuaded my wife to come along, together with our then 9 month old son.
We actually came out the weekend before to do the tourist thiung, then she did the Sisters of Eve programme, leaving me to the delights of Fanfest.
That and Iceland is brilliant.
I'll be back for 2008, though my wife feels she's 'done Iceland' for a while. Still, it's given her an idea of what its all about, so she's a helluva lot happier about me coming back on my own.
Think about it ... not as daft as it first sounds.

The Fanfest will be held in Iceland, but there are a lot of player gatherings around the world that may be closer to you if you don't want to go to Iceland.

I stayed at Hotel Cabin with my wife last year. This year she has school, and i want a hotel with more then 5 tv channels for when i wake up at 3 am gmt. =)
But it will be fun!

yeah i stayed at the cabin aswell last year the thing that got me the most was the awful crapy breakfast they served this year i want something cooked i love colesterol cloggin my heart up in a morning not that rabbit food they served  |
