EVE Search - Loss of ship

Katya Detia	Posted - 2004.03.01 14:41:00 - [1] I was mining, i decided to warp to a safespot... as i dropped out of warp my apoc blew up... i didnt get a mail telling me how my ship had killed.. i wasnt under fire or anything.. and i have 3 witnesses... Ray McCormack	Posted - 2004.03.01 18:38:00 - [9] Katya, the best advice I can offer is for you to petition. Server logs are much better now, and support staff can trace the cause of your destruction. You do need to provide them with locations and times and any detailed info you can think of to help speed it along. It will take while though, no matter what. Two corp mates petitioned about the loss of their ships (through different circumstances than your loss), and received a reply about a week later. Hope you get sorted, I don't want Apocs getting into the habit of inconceivably self-destructing. \| The BIG Lottery \| The BIG Deal \| 835568 \|

Ray McCormack	Posted - 2004.03.01 20:05:00 - [13] It depends. If you believe in all honesty your ship exploded through no fault of your own, CCP will replace it (modules et al I presume). If so, would a cruiser not suffice for 'in the meantime'? Was your ship fully insured? Or did you just receive the standard 40%? Not sure what would happen if you spent this and CCP replaced your Apoc. Would they take the insurance payment back, or refund you the difference for full insurance, and just replace all lost modules. It is either problem with the game or it has something to do with your computer layout. I have submitted a suggestion to the DEVs to have an actual count down that tells yu how much time you have left until your ship explodes. I have never hit the self destruct button and there is nothing in my logs, only when I go to the logs on my computer I see that my ship did automatically initiate the self destruct sequence without my notice and without confirmation. I have lost a great deal of money on this and I don't thnk CCP is going to do anything about it unless all the "rare" cases such as ours get noticed.
