As a mission runner I've often theought that the addition of a handy "warp to mission" button would be a nice addition.
This button would appear if you have an accepted mission and are in the right solar system. Pressing the button warps you to the mission space. As you can see on the (very ugly) tinkered screenshot, there also is a downwards pointing triangle button which allows the selection of the warp-to distance via an appearing sub-menu.
The second role of the button is the Go Home part. Once the mission objective is completed, the button will appear and allow a quick return home.
Reason behind this is that the right click menus are really not that great to use, especially if there are long lines of text in them. Navigating the mouse cursor through them can be rather annoying.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks for reading

I see no reason to add this to the game, the right-click menu already works perfectly well. No offense, but it sounds like you're just being lazy in this case, since the option is already in the game and you just have to right click to get to it.
Also, what would happen if you have multiple missions going? How does that button know which one to warp you to?
My vote is no, we don't need more UI clutter, especially not replicating an option that is already a simple right-click away to begin with. |

Ah, but that is no problem. The button could have a < and > button to the left and right if you have several missions in the same system. With those you can quickly switch between the missions. In this case the mission name would have to go on the button which isnt really a problem. And for right click pros like yourself, who seem to hate screen clutter this option could be toggleable in the ESC menu :) No problem there. Its not about lazyness, it is about convenience :) |
