The EVE player experience museum is now live at eveisreal.net. This is our multi-purpose EVE memory repository and social sharing hub. ItGÇÖs hard to put into words how meaningful the player creates stories/videos/images are. They prove that to many people EVE is very much real and part of their lives. The amount of love and insanity that goes into these creations is not something youGÇÖll see often, as one server and one community means all kinds of weird and amazing things occur and get documented.
There are also incentives and contests to supplement it. Sharing your favorite moments will move the community closer and closer to unlocking a giant amount of Aurum for everyone to sample the NeX Store at their leisure. The contest portion is accepting entries now through August 18th, with voting through September 1st to follow immediately thereafter. The first unlock is for the entire playerbase. Seriously, somewhere near 107,000 PLEX worth of Aurum.
So take a few minutes and poke around eveisreal.net, maybe relive a cool moment from the history of EVE or make and post one of your own.
How the Aurum reward and contest pieces work:
Aurum Rewards:
GÇóShare pieces into or out of the museum
GÇóEvery share moves the bars closer to unlocking a level of rewards.
GÇóThere is no immediate cutoff date for sharing rewards, but the faster shared, the faster things unlock.
GÇóAbout a week after each level unlocks, all active paying customers of EVE Online will receive the reward onto their active, skilltraining character, in the absence of an active character the one with the most skillpoints will receive the Aurum
Image Contest:
GÇóEntries accepted until August 18th
GÇóVoting then begins, you can vote for one video and one image per day
GÇóVoting ends September 1st
GÇóVoid where prohibited
GÇóWork must be your original work to win

Why would anyone ever do your marketing for you? all this is is an effort to push the NEX Store, your facebook page (lol similarties are astounding with the new EVE Gate. Fail on your part, CCP because facebook is ****) and aurum on the playerbase that does not want it.
God, just end this farce of a marketing tactic already. |

Remove Aurum and the NeX store from the game. If CCP does one thing, it should be that.

Your post says voting ends Sept. 1st, but the website still says Voting is Open and you can still vote on videos. Did you guys forget about this or something? |

The voting should end at 1st september but still people vote. Also eula says winners will be announced at 8th so whats up with that because im certain there is no public notification for two days now. |

heh. too funny. I just voted for my favorite video.
I also recall CCP's botched Facebook / win-a-PC contest from earlier this year where they didn't even fully understand Facebook's rules for running a contest. And then there was the deviant art ship model contest earlier in the year that got dropped / forgotten for months.
CCP's track record and actions speak volumes. You have to wonder who is captain of the boat in that organization.
