Please bring the date back to the clock. Clicking on calendar is annoying and it wasn't taking much screen space at all. |

The calendar number was a recent addition, but a useful one.
My guess is that they just pulled out the 'new neocom' code, cleaned it up, and put it in without making note of any (read: one?) change that had occurred to the old one since then. Fun with SVN code trees...
I may have come here from Myst Online, but that does not make me any less bloodthirsty than the average Eve player.
Just more subtle.

We intentionally removed the date. It was initially added to draw attention to the fact that clicking that area would open up the calendar rather than due to anyone feeling that displaying the current date in such a prominent place was necessary. Now, with the new Neocom, the calendar has it's own button making it easily accessible, and the current date is clearly displayed within that window. We don't remove things like these because we're evil, but rather because we don't feel that the information being displayed is important enough to justify taking up valuable screen space. |

Would it be possible to add the clock back or make it optional for those of us who live in different parts of the world than the server? Having to click on the calendar button and wait for it to open everytime you need to verify what day it is inside EVE is not as easily accessible as it was. With all the customisation we have now with the new neocom I find it hard to believe that the tiny date at the bottom of our screen was taking up too much space. |

Since most everything is scheduled on eve time, seeing that X event is on the 31st is great and all untill you realize it's still the 30th in EVE when it's the 31st irl. |

How about making the Calendar tool button show the current date on the icon? Best of both worlds. Then this could be expanded to say EveMail to show the number of unread messages. |

Sorting the asset page by the amount of stuff in any given station seems like a particularly bad idea to me. The whole idea of sorting is present (obviously ordered) but consistent and predictable information. With this new method the presentation will be changing over time and I'd guess result in a lot more searches in the asset windows. |

I too would really like the date back. With players from around he world, the EVE time is what we all function off of, and having to open a calendar to see the Eve date is pretty frustrating. Maybe an option to add the date? I can see the rationale for removing it, but many of us relied on that for ease of use. |

I used the date on the neocom almost as much as I used the clock itself. It is very handy feature to have the date always be displayed, and removing that makes the calendar very much less useful. Here is a small list of things that the date on the neocom was used for that now require switching from dealing with the task to open the calender or simply won't be done because the date is easier to just guess at: Updating POS fueling/silo spreadsheet Making time sensitive bookmarks (see wormholes Determining when OPs are while reading evemai
Then there is the fact that half to a thrird of my neocom bar is always empty, so the date being shown does not take up any space that is being used
Please add the date back, it was a feature, and removing it was not.
nice save draft feature for the forums btw. |

The date being displayed has nothing to do with importance, it's about convenience since many of us live in different time zones, seeing that date is vital to continuity of information. Having to load the calendar to remind ourselves of the in-game date is an extra step and sucks.
Well thanks for deciding what's important to the players.
It's this attitude that got you in trouble last year.

Gotta be worst explanation ever. I wish this was the only crap thing in new neocom but unfortunately the list is very long and you still are too proud and stubborn to fix it.

While looking at time and date - May I suggest helping my lazy us timezone online friends creating a time translation option? Through the last 6 years I had countless (mostly) americans not being able to convert Eve Time to their own time. |

Then changing it (i.e. making it possible to show local time) would confuse these people even more? Right now you can just log in and see, e.g. "Oh, it's 11 am EVE time, so 1 pm will be in 2 hours". Looking for more thoughts? Read my blog or follow me on Twitter. |

The CCP responses are not acceptable.
Give us the option to display it as any or all of the following:
- EVE Day of Week (localized using the short abbreviation such as Mon/Tue/Wed, default to OFF) - EVE Date (default to ON) - EVE Time (default to ON) - Local Time (default to OFF)
The defaults for the date area should match how it's been for the last few years.

Please bring the date back.
As others have said, you've made this beautiful new CUSTOMIZABLE neocom, but we can't customize a feature that we used to have that was incredibly useful - especially when players may be on a different local date than the current Eve date.
The information is VERY important.
Please bring the date back. Or give us the option to turn it on or off. Or, since you point out that the calendar now has its own button, make the date show up on the button.
It's just plain silly to have to open up the calendar directly to see what the date is when it used to be wonderfully, clearly displayed before.
Please bring the date back. What you do for yourself dies with you, what you do for others is immortal. |

Please bring the date back. Having that info on the screen has always been very helpful and TBH it doesn't take up a lot of screen real estate.
