I set up a sell order for a Battlecruiser this morning, set the asking price at 33,600,000.00 ISK and set a timespan of 3 months. Wen I cliked the Sell button it immediatly sold the BC to a buy order for just over 29 Million ISK! I thought I had done something wrong, but if I recall correctly, once your on the Advanced Sell window you cannot sell to a buy order because you are setting up a new sell order?
Anyone else had this problem or have any idea what I did wrong?

Did you set the duration to immediate? |

I thought I'd set it for 3 months (the maximum?) but I guess a mouse scroll could have set it to immediate (the first list entry?). Does this setting ignore the asking price you set and just dump it on the highest buy order then?
I was sure I set it to 3 months though.....

Sell orders default to 1 day. Are you sure that you had the ISK value entered correctly? Could you have been missing a zero?

If it had been set to one day, wouldn't it have still set up a sell order rather than dump the BC on the highest buy order?

I'm not sure. The only thing that I could think of was that you set your sell price lower than a buy order and it sold immediately at his asking price.

I believe that for sell orders immediate automatically tries to match itself with the highest selling buy order in range (while simple takes the highest selling buy order of the station you are in). I could be wrong though. At any rate, immediate will always try to match itself immediately. |
