I'm trying to decide what my next ship will be for level 2 and 3 missions (and 1's too maybe). I like the Navy Faction Omen cruiser and the battlecruiser Prophecy. I have the skills to fly either right now.
What are some thoughts? Thanks! -=CEO & founder of Malleus Soul, contact me for employment info=- |

out of those two, the navy Omen. that's if you feel you won't die in it since it's an expensive ship to pop in. AB fit it and you should walk through any level 2 or 3. however, the harbinger is probably a better choice over those two.
i would also really guide you away from the navy Omen since you won't be running level 2s and 3s for a very long time. as much as i hate saying that you should go to one of the most over used ships in the game for amarr, the harb is probably you best bet.
flip side - the navy omen is awesome, awesome looking, and fun to fly. flying a cruiser in missions requires more micro managing, but in the long run, that will make you a better pilot too. |

Harbinger.
Those other 2 will just slow you down in the L3's
The only exception: You are moving region to region to keep standings balanced and are using an orca to hold your fitted/rigged nocits/cruiser to open up new groups with. Then the Navy Omen might be a bit better. |

Yeah I looked at the Harbinger as well, and someone in my corp. suggested it. I'll definitely look at that! Thanks! -=CEO & founder of Malleus Soul, contact me for employment info=- |

I LOVE the Navy Omen, It's pretty much a miniature zealot. It has a decent tank and HUGE firepower. I usually do more damage than battlecruisers when I fly it!
The problem with a Navy Omen is that I really wouldn't fly it in a mission, if you come across more than you can handle the ship goes up in flames pretty quickly and they aren't cheap.
The Prophecy is pretty much useless for everything except being a bait ship as the only thing it can do is buffer.
If you want a good Amarrian battlecruiser go with the Harbinger or Omen. They will perform well for whatever you decide to do with them. |

This thread has some information for you on level 3s. Of course I'm partial to my post in it. But here is probably the advice you're looking for.
For level 2s an Arbitrator is the best. Drone skills will help you with pretty much any ship you fly in the future. In fact, if you aren't flying Caldari I would say drones 5 is probably the first skill you want to train to 5. |

Even if you are flying Caldari, Drones 5 is extremely helpful for the entire Caldari PvE lineup except the Tengu. IIRC, it was indeed the first skill I trained to 5. |

Another vote for the Harbinger. I used to run L3s in a beam-fit Prophecy for the longest time - the idea being "It gets a resist bonus, so it will tank better and missions will be easier!" Missions were easy, sure, but they took a while because the damage output was pretty poor.
Well, after a while, I decided to swap over to the Harbinger just to see what it would be like and it was far superior in every way to the Prophecy. The most important part being the damage bonus and an additional low slot for a heat sink. More DPS meant I didn't have to tank as much, and missions went much, much faster. And, ultimately, it can field a better tank when necessary as well - though if you fit enough damage mods you won't need much of a tank. Dead enemies don't shoot back.
If you really want to go all out murder death, consider fitting a cap booster in one of your mid slots and relying on those to keep your capacitor running. This will free up a lot of slots for tracking / damage / tank / afterburner / whatever. It's not you guys who need to repair what has been broken, it's us. CCP Wrangler |

I decided to stick with my Navy Slicer until I'm done with level 1's (unless it gets destroyed), then go for a Navy Faction Omen for 2's, and a Harbinger for 3's. What do you think? -=CEO & founder of Malleus Soul, contact me for employment info=- |
