I've just started a second account with the power of 2 offer. After having a toon for 4 years and being a high sec only player i finally got into PVP and need another toon to feen my need for ships.
When i firts logged on after creating my new toon i found that my skillpoints showed only 590k. I remember the cries when new characters got their SP boost to 800K so was not sure what has happened. Anyone else found themselves short of SPs on generation.

Rolled it up because of the high SPs in science and also the lvl4 mining foreman.

I have not checked, but I thought the 800k skill points was not assured for every path.

I remember starting with 60k sp when other people got like 110k... so unfair :(

All new characters should start over 800k SP. Just so new players actually stick to game instead of training for a month of boredom. So that is definatly an anomally.

It depends on how you roll it - 800k isn't a guarantee - just a guide. You were pretty close and that seems fine to me.

it's not guarnteed - but approx 592k SP is what you get for a char though that way

There is a known bug with the Minmatar Prospector career path. You are missing the skill Science V. This bug will be fixed with the release of Kali 3. In the mean time, if you file a petition under the Skills and Character Creation category a GM will add the missing skill. Last time I checked the wait for that petition category was approx 1 week.
