See ya later fellas - to all those in Red Horizon ill miss ya :)
cant post on my main as i have given him away to a mate
basicly not happy with the way the game is going in terms of development and having my past skill training rendered usless or at best watered down to a point where i dont find it fun. cant be bothered "adapting" so im voting with my wallet.
sorry - havent any stuff left - all been given away allready. and nope - i wont let the door hit me on the way out :)
will check back on forums in six months to see if the whine level is the same
ciao

Dirk is the only character in Eve I've ever had. No alts. No other accounts or use of a different character in the trial. When I started I had no understanding of skill point assignment and how it would later affect my skill training (itself a foreign concept to me) and so I distributed some stuff towards industry and the rest just kinda assigned randomly. Today I don't do any industry, and fly a T2-fitted HAC in PvP, despite my original skill point assignments. I've also taken away months of potential training time for other skills by training all my Gallente and Minmatar ship skills to the same level for all the same ship types.
And I have never complained about anything that has invalidated or nerfed past skill training.
Why can't some of you people get over it when CCP turns your highly effective ships into slightly less highly effective ships. Like the infamous complaint about the Eos drone nerf. You guys should have seen it coming when it was noticed that the Eos was a more solid combat ship than the Astarte, thus breaking completely from the fleet command ship scheme of being less effective at damage dealing than the field commands. Just train for an Astarte already. I have to vent this because, I mean, come on. I've typed up this post multiple times for other threads only to decide against actually posting it.
The ironic thing about the OP is that they also complain in a whine thread about the whine level of the forum.

This reminds me when people were upset with WOW because of the "Paladin Nerf".
Ya that sure affected WOW numbers. The nerfs actually make it fairer overall and more likely new players will come. If people enter a MMO and don't expect a nerf well then they need to play a game that isn't online.

It's not that CCP turns our highly effective ships into slightly less effective ships.
It's that when CCP swings the nerfbat, they swing it way too hard, turning good ships into sick ******* jokes. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

No matter what you train in this game, eventually it'll be adjusted. The thing is, to go with the flow. Train multiple ships/weapon types. If you can, do 4 accounts, where each one does each race(I know, most can't do that. I can.)
MMO's are ALWAYS evolving. Everything will be the "FTW" at one point, and everything will be "gimped" at another. If you play long enough, it'll come around twice.
This is the nature of ALL MMO's. Specialization is great, till your niche is "adjusted". go with the flow, and have fun.

I HAVE THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION TO EVE.....
TURN OFF THE FORUMS AND LET ALL CHANGES BE A SUPRISE!!! GEE WIZ THAT WOULD BE LOADSA FUN!!
like that one dude up there said, if you expand your horizons, it won't really matter what they swing the bat at, although it would be more interesting if they buffed the ships that they are nerfing the others down to..
dunno, play the game and turn off the forums

Too many people seem to be missing that part of the equation though.
In fact, the older this game gets, the LESS noobie friendly it has become, though the increase in SP did help some, it was not enough.
There should be MORE "catch up" mechanisms in the game, not fewer. I have been in many corps where the "old timers" seem to do nothing but log on once a week or once a month to change skills - which to me at least, totally defeats the whole idea of "MMO".
The more skills introduced, the more daunting it gets to noobies - supposedly with the new rev skills coming up, to train all skills it would take around 17 years. Now that sure encourages new players....

Why should I, or anyone, need 4 accounts to play a game? (it happens that I do have 3, but why should anyone *need* them?).

You don't need 4 accounts. If you set your standards for flying only mediocre ships, with mediocre abilities, but hone your real piloting and pvp skills, I promise you won't be disappointed.
Technically, you could set your standards to Amarr, and you'd NEVER be disappointed because I highly doubt it will get any worse before it gets better. This option is only recommended for masochists.

I will say it is you that is a bad thing! So there! We Achura are the scum rats of the universe. We are everywhere! We are over populated, and destened to fly cruddy ships (at least until we train Gallente or Minmatar) or become Macrominers! We should either take over the entire Galaxy of New Eden or be slaughtered by the Hundreds!
...Eh ok, I am joking. But honestly, wow, They say the majority of Minmatar live in Gallente space, I have found out the Achura took over Matari space while the Matari were gone! LOL! It is kind of creepy really. +++++++++++++++ I saw the Sign...!
