Edited by: Zeuth on 09/11/2007 01:44:21 So i was wondering what kind of different professions that maybe more or less unknown to the normal "newbie".
Reason I'm asking is because when i made this guy i had full intentions on being a all out miner. Now given mining will be my side hobby/Isk maker but recently I've been looking at getting into something "outside the norm".
Examples of what I'm talking about are Freighting, Drug Manufacturing, Surveying, ???
Any input is appreciated.

Welp. Given that you're a hardcore miner you might get into trading and manufacturing.
Salvaging, making rigs.
Also there is the reprocessing business.
I dunno.
There's a million and one hustles. Gotta find your own angle.

A good thing to do while mining is to watch the trade channels. I've made around a billion in commissions from introducing buyers to sellers - of course, I was logged in a lot of the time, and watching those channels like a hawk.
If nothing else, you learn things from watching the trade channels.

Something fun if you like mining. Train in probing and probe out hidden belts, all to yourself. You can also find other things, but you can find minerals found only in lo sec in the hidden belts.

Homer J: QUIET! You can sleep in the garage.
Grandpa Simpson: But there are spiders in the boxes...
Homer J: Stay out of my boxes!

Yeah i decided to do that on my fighter alt and got into exploring, it been very addictive even with low skills(even though i havnt found any hidden belts yet).
On this char iam still kindof torn between Manufacturing and Freighting i will prob be doing both in the long run.
Thanks for all the replies. Z
