In August EA hit a two year low because we all know what kind of crap they've put out. Now after the Oct purchase of Bioware there the next best thing for market tips :/. I really think all those "expert" stock managers on any the 24/7 news should go back to acting. Just for a giggle I reinstalled BF2142 to check it out after not playing for a year. The thing is more bugged then it was on release. If you want a surefire way to lose money buy up EA now!

I'm sure in the short term, it's a great investment. Many people will be like, "Ohh, they bought something new. They MUST know what they're doing." And that'll drive stocks up. Then sell it after a few weeks and watch as it plummets again.

I worked for EA for a while and there is a quintessential flaw in their production line. They discourage testers from talking with the dev team and screen bug submitions by people more interested in deadlines than product. -------------

I always know that for sure, even tho I don't work for EA. :) EA are evil and borgs. All they care is moolah, not quality in games like you said. -----------------------------------

Unfortnatly they are also delivering a few of the games I really like to play ... was very frustrating when the local shop could not sell EA games... now they can but still.

Here is the funny thing, despite the crap EA makes, they still sell. Sure, BF2142 is bugged, but they scammed over a million fools into getting it. Thats where the profit is. I have had Stock in EA since the 90's, and it has been profitable.

well most ppl dont have taste.. most ppl are ignorant. such is life (and I'm not saying all EA games are bad.) for instance the Crysis demo seems quite decent even tho the marines are epitome of scary lvl stupidity as in are they trying to simulate real world US army marine brain activities with that or what.

First you attack Fox news because you dont understand how trading works= fail Second you dont understand how trading works= double fail
Acquiring Bioware was an incredible move for EA. The Bioware tag has a huge core group of followers and a good reputation which will make EA's stock go up quite a bit. Then theres the fact that BF2142 has a incredibly large following. Heck even the old BF2 still has a big following even with the lame 24/7 maps spammed across the server list. While you might not like the games ALOT of others do and they shell out tons of cash for EA who by the way is still trying to acquire every darn game development company out there. The first game with the combine EA/Bioware tag is going to get alot of people shelling out more cash just to try it.
Got BF2 and BF2142 still installed. No bugs in either game. Maybe you need help setting up your computer?

So have I + BF2 and BF Vietnam. I was surprised to see that in BF2 MORE people are playing the original (no patch) version than those playing with the relatively new 1.41 patch. Same goes for 2142. As usual the best of all the BF series is Vietnam, cant beat flying with the music blaring out

I watch Fox News every morning, its more of a jest then anything. There pretty much buying nothing from bioware but a name. When they took over there previous gaming companys they replaced orginal teams with there own. There own teams have done a very poor job lately. If you want to invest in a company off media hype go ahead .

That was a alt by the way its completely normal to play a game and have to download a update twice over another patch. Then have to find the right server with that version of your update which you downloaded over the latest patch, confused so am I.

I take offense to that, maybe the US Army super commando death ninja's have brain activity like that, but no game has even come close to the proper Marine brain activity, the closest game developers and programmers have probably ever come to a combat situation is watching a war movie.
