Yeah that's pretty bad, but at least it wasn't civilian-fit, with two kinds of tanks, and not only undersized guns, but the WRONG TYPE of undersized gun.

This isn't that bad either
I know it's not random frigate mods on a navy mega but it's still pretty amusing. He was a good sport tough.

This Myrmidon was preety amusing. Had no drones at all, either ;)
There was some yelling on vent when I warped us on top of the Myrm, but I kindof expected him to be a noob and decided to give it a shot. Didn't expect him to be *that* bad
Oh, here's a classic: the famous shield tanked rail thorax ;) Why do new players love shield-tanking their thoraxes, I have no idea.
And this guy is way older then me - frankly, screams of ebay with a hull-tanked blaster-rail thorax of doom, solo ratting in Egghelende ;)
This Mega pilot actually logged off when we agressed - and, yes, he was armed with standard missiles and medium rails from what I recall.
These guys actually tried to defend from me, which might've worked if they weren't using a Caracal and a mixed-tank rail thorax. I swear, thoraxes are probably the worstly-fit ships on average.

Actually, the shield tanked rail thorax was one of the better lowsec thorax ratting setups in 2004. You used a microwarpdrive to keep out of the npcs range and the shield booster was only to repair any damage from lucky hits. Those were the good old days ^^;

Edited by: Backdoor Lover on 13/11/2007 00:13:15 i have two first was a triple civ shield boosting 800mm auto cannon Hyperion
second was a raven fitted with heavy missile launchers and large shield extenders and he was pirating on a gate
got a maelstrom once who had light missiles and light lasers but the !armor! tank was almost ok so i think above is the better two
edit: prolly had worse but those two stand out due to the smack talk that followed I HAVE NO INSURANCE!! |

Passive tanked raven with low slots full of RCUs to fit his 1400mm artilleries and siege launchers :P Raven
That lachesis does next to no damage so it still took a long time to kill this thing :P

It seems to me, some people just slap whatever they happen to have in their hangar on their ships. How hard can it be, to just come to this forum and do a search for '<ship's name> setup'.

For the worst fitted ship, may I present....
A Dread fitted with 3 NOS. I never bothered to look at what else he had fitted.
Yes, he was laughed at by all who were in local at the time.
Note: Armageddon Day 2007, so it doesn't count anyways, but still a good laugh. _______________________________

I used to do this, too. Mainly because the tutorial doesn't tell you about armour repairers, and I had no idea how tracking worked, so thought high damage + high range = best.

In a previous corp we were at war with some people, war had been active for 2 or 3 days and then we killed a brutix which was armed with lasers and hulltanked... That was in the days before damage controls got buffed too!

This my friends is Scius. What makes it even greater is the fact that he piloted this Nightmare into it first.. then the honor tanked Revelation.
(Note the amount of smack from his own alliance on that.)

We stupidly cynoed in capitals when the initial tackle ship would have killed it solo.
He was actually ratting at the time.
