I walk into my local bestbuy today to check out the new tech goodies and new computer games.
Im browsing the computer games and my eyes meet this extremely thick bright orange book, The EVE Players Guide.
I pick it up and look through all the OLD ship specs. (8 high 8 mid 8 low Apoc. lulz). I decide to buy this beauty for a laugh. I then move on to the register and give them the book to scan.
The employee keeps staring at his screen like somethings wrong and then finally turns to me and goes, "That'll be one penny". I was in such shock, I didn't even have a penny on me and grabbed one from take a penny leave a penny cup. Free EVE Players Guide.

Sorry for the double post, but it has a actually timeline of all the races history, AND a crap load of system data.
Includes loadouts of all the ships and a crap load of back story, ill get scanning for you. :D
Guess ill put it on Chribbas server too. :P
I got the last one, it looked like someone returned it and had like 60 different price change stickers stacked on eachother.

Amen to that. Had some good backstory though. The best part was the pile of useless system maps that took up half the book.

My copy of that book cost me US 17.95 at launch. It WAS out of date and inaccurate, but the background stuff, history, and "flavor" was pretty cool. It still sits proudly on the shelf in my office right next to....the original game box.
I saw the fanfest video (history of EVE/CCP presentation) where CCP wasn't too thrilled with the packaging and artwork for that box, but I have to say, it jazzed me to no end when I picked it up.
Four years + later, and I'm still jazzed.

Sadly, I never got to buy the book, but I don't think that there is a single thing left in there that is accurate aside from fiction.
