Hello fellow eve players,
I am currently training to use the buzzard for exploration sites to have something else to do then do missions. While looking into the rigs for this ship I came across these 2: Emission Scope Sharpener I Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I
the Gravity rig is all clear to me, but the Emission scope I am not to sure of. Discription says: "increase the efficiency of a ships analyzer modules" Does this mean that my probes will have a result faster or is that rig purely for the hacking side of exploration?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

emission one should give you a greater chance of findign the site or person :)

I often wonder if this forum is just made to derail people who actually are on the right track with their guessing.
The Emission Scope Sharpener is given you higher chance of a sucessfull analyze (using Analyzer)
See also: Memetic Algorithm Bank for similar effect on hacking modules.

Thanks for the replys so far.
I guess I will be better of using 2: Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I on my buzzard then. Or is there a rig that I am missing that speeds up/increases the chance of finding exploration sites ?
I will use the Emission Scope Sharpener I on my other ship that is gonna do the hacking etc then |

Your best off using the gravity capacitor upgrades for a probing ship. With the runtime on a scanprobe, you really want to cut down some of that idle time.
There is no other rig you can use to improve signature, deviation etc.
The skills you probably have, and know about.
Imlants wise you can try and look into the Poteque Pharmaeuticals. They make different implants that affect signature, deviation, and probing time. Its the PPH, PPG and PPG series.
Some of the are rather expensive though.
On a side note, there is imho, no need to rig for arch or salv. Just use 2-3 modules instead, it will increase chance much more than a rig. |

the gravity rig speeds it up(reduces time needed for scanning)
only way to incraese the chance for finding are astrometics triangulation skill(increases probes strenght) and the 'prospecter' ppg hardwirings(pph reduces scantime and ppf reduces max deviation, all go in diferent implant slots so are pretty nice for scanning) ----- GIEV custom ship paint jobs! Gravity cap upgrades are generally preferred on probing ships, and for good reason-probing takes a pretty long chunk of time.

indeed.
all my cov ops cloak capable ships have 2, and that includes the force recons. helps having 2 in my arazu to tone down the scan duration down to the 57sec mark.
in a cov ops frig? lvl5 skills and 2 grav cap upgrades and you're looking to the 25sec mark and lower ---
