While applying the patch i noticed a file called bastard.py, does anyone know what this file is for? storing names of ore thieves maybe?

Edited by: Chronos Chi on 03/03/2004 13:57:16 the other thread says something about in-game browser maybe it was a real bastard to code, so the proggers aptly named the file bastard in honour of the number of times they sat there swearing at the screen whilst trying to debug it
maybe some dev could confirm or deny this to put our minds at rest "Computer games donÆt affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, weÆd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitve electonic dance music..." |

yep, i noticed that one as well. since then i cant jump to new systems through gates. I'm sure it must be this file and nothing to do with the new patchÖ

... as i tried for the 10th time to log in, 'bastard' was definately uttered several times...so that is a file that is working over time in this patch hehe

It's not that uncommon for files like that to be seen in games. I know i've put in a few texture files that are named, how to say, exoticly.
Take it from the local gamedev, it's all around.
