Hi Guys
This character hits Science V today, planning to train Mechanical Engineering to use R&D agents for datacores. My question...I have standings to use lvl4 agents for Six Kin, Brutor Tribe and Republic Fleet. I already checked and should have access to the Boundless Creation lvl2 R&D agent in Hek. Any other R&D agents I should look in to?
Thanks

There's a Level 3 Q15 Agent for Boundless in Helgatild. It requires standings of 4.75 for Boundless though. There are L2 and L3 mission agents in Helgatild for getting those standings up too.
Once you get standings to 6.8 for Boundless there is a Level4 Q16 agent in Evati.
Train Research and Lab Ops to V - get Research Project Management (40 Mill skillbook), train that up and you can run multiple research agents for Boundless within a few jumps of each other.
(PS - to get the standings faster there is a little out of the way system called Isbrabata. This has a Level 2 agent and a storyline agent in the same station. Just need to accept a little grinding. Also need to take ammo - or the means to create it as no-one sells stuff down there)

Edited by: Dapper Danny on 14/11/2007 20:36:18 Theres a L4 Q9 mech engineering agent for Boundless Creation in Amo which is a 0.5 sec system I believe which is safe to get to. Also Boundless Creation has a L4 Q15 Mech engineering agent in Vasti (dont remeber the name fully) although thats a 0.2 system that can only be gotten to through a 0.4 system. Working on my R&D standings at the moment to getting my first datacore today.
Although once I got the standing I gotta go do it all again with Core Complexions oh well.... then Creo Dron(sp?)
Edit:- didnt read the post above me fully, he mentions the L4 I was thinking of.
On a note anyone else find it frustrating how these R&D corps dont have any realy good (as in at least in the positives) lvl 3-4 combat related agents to work for for standing?...

Administration agents seem to give 80% (rough estimate) or so combat missions and the occasional unskippable courier missions upto l3 can usually be done with probe or some other 400ish cargo fastish ship so isn't much of a problem. I grinded two corp standings up to best l4 r&d agents so I know it's kind of a pain, but still doable within a weekend if you've maxed your bore resistance skills. You will have to give up looting and salvaging for most part though, I only brought my destroyer out for the select few missions with large amount of concentrated wrecks like blockade etc, since in those cases the extra isk is just too easy to pass on :)
Also remember to check wether the agent gives storylines for the same corp, few agents I used only gave storylines for different corps, so doing a 10part supposedly massive standing gain storyline is actually a waste of time.
Neat trick also is that if you don't complete a storyline, the next storyline will be to a different agent, so you might get an agent for same corp if you keep enough storylines 'hanging'. In my case it didn't help though, atleast first 5 storyline agents were all different corp on the last agent i used but it might be useful for some other agent.
If anyone knows there's a web resource for finding the links between agents and storyline agents they direct you to, that'd be of immense help when you choose the agents for the grind. Some storyline missions give absolutely ridiculous amounts of standing for the corp so if you have two close to same q agents it's probably worth it to check both if the first one doesn't give proper storylines.

Edited by: Dapper Danny on 15/11/2007 20:03:52 One thing i found the other day is thers a Cosmos agent in Hjormold(sp?) that is for Boundless Creations, does a 3 part Attack of the Killer Drones missions, did it in a Raven (Overkill, although the last boss drone in 3/3 was pretty tough hp wise) gave me a good 1.5 boost to my BC standings once I completed it (had 4.02 before I started the mission). So its deffinatly worth doing that one. Pitty there isnt a Core Complexion agent as well
Of note however is 2/3 sends you (or at least it did me) to a boundless Creation station in Evasti... nothing like running a major gate camp through 0.4 to get there heh. At least the camp was 'busy' on the return trip. Others might find it sends you to other more safer locations Evasti it self while 0.2 was pretty quite.

Ive found while my stroyline agents are Six Kin I still get the standing boost for Boundless Creations.

Edited by: Venkul Mul on 16/11/2007 14:59:10 For low level agents in Chartum in Amarr space (they have 2 good quality level 4 ME agents) try Bahromab in Domain region, they have several agents in 2 adiacent system and 2 storyline agents, so it is possible to get mission and storylines from them. The agents are mostly level 1 and 2 but they gan give a player enough standing for better agents fast.
It is useful to remember that R&D mission count for the number of mission before a storyline and that only the location of the last mission is important for the choice of the storyline agent, so finding a agent conveniently placed near a storyline agent of the right corporation, even if from a division giving courier missions or a different corporation would be useful.
Getting the last mission from him should give a storyline in the R&D corporation with the corresponding high increae in standing.

I concur in that these 3 storyline missions are well worth doing. I did part 1 in a Jaguar (assualt frigate) and part 3 in an Arbitrator (Cruiser) but only because my Jag could not break the tank. I can't remember where part 2 was to but it may well have been Evati (watch out for perennial gate camp in Hagilur). I got a 25% boost in BCF standing for doing all 3.
