These past couple of days have been rather eventful and wordy. This thread is party about the current war that finds us in league with m0o against CA. A most unlikely pairing if I do say so myself.
A teamup such as this is so inconcievable that I still laugh about it when I consider how and why it happened. This thread will attempt to teach everyone how to make the most ludicrous of combat alliances happen.
How powerful have you become CA! You even have the ability to choose the method of your own demise!
Some points to note:
1. Did m0o plan to attack CA? Not really, as they said, they voted on it and it was rejected.
2. Did Evolution plan to attack CA? No, we were busy with PA and we weren't in a hurry to be accused of being devs or GM's again. It's no secret that we find CA rather distasteful, we were in no hurry to wade in Curse again.
Why then is Evolution going to fight CA with m0o?
Contrary to what CA would like to think, it wasn't an elaborate plot that was formulated for a long time. In fact, when you mull over your ship losses you may find even less consolation in knowing that this unholy alliance was a spur of the moment decision made in a couple of days. The replies received from certain CA members in that thread were apparently enough to break the impasse in m0o and make them resolve to go ahead and attack CA: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=63497
m0o's thread exploded in less than 4 hours. We had been observing it and posting comments. In the resulting replies, many in Evolution were reminded at how why we were motivated to attack CA long ago.

It is understandable if CA will find it hard to believe that they have singlehandedly created their own Greek tragedy. In their paranoia they sought to struggle against something that did not exist yet. By so doing, they themselves created the scenario that they sought to prevent.
When looking back in retrospect, several entities have shown the same aptitude of shooting themselves in the foot. It is disconcerting. From EC's ancient challenge to a TAOSP that numbered 8 in total, the past TTI's destruction of their support base, Arcadia's war with us that happened because they thought we planned to attack them, PA's war with us that happened because they thought 2 pilots entering Venal was an assault and grounds for shooting first before talking, also CA's own propensity for self flaggelation by saying "bring it" in the worst times possible.
It is my hope that all corporations and alliances in Eve be mindful of their own personal demons. As Sun Tzu said, knowledge of the enemy and of one's self is paramount in successful battles. Many entities subscribe to this in a wrong way. They do not know that their knowledge of self was their greatest failing and that they are a menace unto themselves. They send out spies to other corporations and alliances in an attempt to find out more about their enemy but do not have sufficient self awareness that the knowledge of their foes that they attain acts as fuel to their own paranoia.
One who's enemy is himself will know no peace, nor will he achieve victory, all he will manage is self destruction.
Survey the lines drawn against you CA. Look at them with full knowledge that you have created them yourselves. To those in CA who do understand how and why these things happen, why do you allow yourselves to be led into the fire?

Its a very nice post, but your reading way way too much into it all. Your not the only corp who just wants to PvP..against anyone
I offer you my thanks from stopping me quiting Eve out of pure boredom of having no targets to shoot at. I've never particulary liked Evol holier than thou attitude, but you guys know what your doing, and m0o are friends and also know what they are doing, it will be a challenge, and life with no challenges would be plain boring, this is just another chance to prove ourselfs and improve.
GL with the war. Have fun. You misquoted Sun Tzu however.

Misquoted Sun Tzu? I wasn't even quoting him. Quotes would be enclosed in "quotes" like so:

Mine was an accurate paraphrase. How characteristic to point out something and showing you completely missed the point.

Nope, sorry I was wrong.
I want something else to read other than this CA v Blah v blah, CA r r0x0r, CA r pwn stian, CA r piratt!, blah blah. Doesnt anyone ever post anything about interesting stuff :\, it gets so boring reading the same stuff.
I would even settle for a 29 page Jade Constantine vs Everyone else thread.

Attention seeking people would normally post a similar thread AFTER the deed has been done and they came out victorious. This one decides to do it before anything has been done.
The fame w***es in this game are even worse than a certain other alliance heavy game I can recall :(

"they" happened to be a handfull people that had a quarrel with you. And the pilots getting shot at was given the option to turn around first. You choose to take it as an alliance matter. That particular incident was never backed or decided by the alliance.
What is really sad is that you ruined friendship with a couple of corps that had long ties to yours. Corps that wanted to avoid this fight. You let down friends of yours, friends that will never consider any further dealings with you

It's simple really, you either are part of an alliance or you aren't. If you are part of one you at all times represent it, and as such your actions are those of your alliance. It's not up to us or anyone else for that matter to check whether every decision taken by a member of an alliance and corp was decided upon by that corp or alliance. You act as part of the groups that you belong to, and as such whatever you do will reflect upon those groups aswell.
If you recruit a noob and he fires at us or any other corp for that matter it will be seen as your corp acting, if you are in an alliance it will be seen as that alliance acting. That is what membership is about, it is not something that you can choose to use when you feel like it.

The only thing we have to fear is ferrit's elf. And oh yeah... if Evolm0otion do succeed in their assault it'll be due to a very suprising tactic. Check it out...my prediction of the war:

Step 1
After several days of direct exposure to forum warrior sydrome by hanging around with Evolution, m0o contract the vile disease. Oh no kirby! Run!
Step 2
After months upon months of listening to Evolution's forum dribble, CA put on their game faces and apply 110% concentration on blocking out the dribble from not one but now two fronts. Good God Kirby! How much more can our blabber shields maintain stability!
Step 3
The unbearable assault of the blibber-blabber-IPWNEDU-coalition brings CA to it's knees in a matter of weeks. Lord Zap announces Curse Region as new vacationing location which he visits frequently whilst seeking out new allies to screw over. Meanwhile on the other side of Metropolis, TheReverend is still talking his way out of violating Rule #3 Sentence #1 of the User-Agreement, then bragging about it on the public forums. Pooti is still a cute little bunny-pilot whom everybody likes and furthermore, Jim Raynor is still God. It's been a pleasure fighting by your side Kirby!
That's exactly how this war will go I had a dream about it.

Rebellion I thought what you said was very legit. Happens all the time and many don't realize just how quickly things can change and how much forums have an impact on EVE

That is 100% correct. You could say foolish on our part as you were our friends, and you could say a little headstrong. Although R-K wasn't their at the opening bell, we have thus part enjoyed the war with Evolution as I am sure you have as well.
We've been at war with many in the PA. But Evolution is to date got to be the most well respected advisaries we have ever fought. Not much smack talk and some local chats were extremely friendly to say the least. Although you have not destroyed the PA as their are still far too many of us, you have proved that smaller numbers and ambition are certainly enough to incapacitate an alliance. Kudos to you and your corp.

Hopefully with this post people will realize just how fragile things can be on a dimplomatic front
