Well this has been bothering me as i have flown through Caldari, Amarr, Minmatar, and Gallente space'
I keep getting this strange and peculiar feeling that there is something limiting us, placing us in a stepping stone for something more advanced.
I had this odd thought where secretly we are being tested by all the major ''races/corporations'' such as caldari and etc that each of the 4 major sovereignties have a plan for us, like testing us as 'prototypes' for something greater, or more horrific. what if we was the Demi-God V1.0 and soon or maybe later they released something greater than what we are.
A D.E.M.I-GOD v1.2 or something which could out perform us entirely, didnt anyone ever get the suspicion that law enforcement such as concord didnt really effectivly take the law into things like they destroy your pod.
SO? you can just re-materialize somewhere, what is effectivly stopping them from pulling our plugs? something is not right in all of this, There must be something behind it all, they have bounties placed onto capsuleers heads, and somehow convince other capsuleers to deal with said bounties, what if there is a massive fail-safe plan on us, which could effectivly ''delete'' us all?
Anyone else have these suspicions?
Are we losing our title as Demi-God? what if their will be an upgrade? such as a D.E.M.I-GOD V1.2?-á -Scourged through the years .. Revived through fire, born through machinery, killed through silence. |

I get that a lot ^^' Im not generally trusted with the whole ''leadership'' thing either ^-^' I can sorta tell why but surely you have had these thought's also? If concord or certain high-sec law enforcement just kill a demi-god they will still be at large, would'nt it be better to pull that Capsuleer's entire existance? surely it would be a better eventual course of action.

Not really no, besides you have to reside in high-sec for CONCORD laws to apply, and even then they would need permission from whatever faction you work for to be able to "pull the plug". I suppose so .. never thought of it that way .. What about the thought of a upgraded capsuleer to out-date other capsuleer's how would they create or be able to bring said capsuleer into production, what if they were suddenly released and then all of a sudden we are out-dated, it would be a sudden horrific change, but maybe it would benefit EVE? Im sure i could find a way to move my being into these new vessels (if they ever exist), it doesnt seem like it would be very difficult looking at how we capsuleers jump from clone to clone anyway. To my knowledge we are not "demigods". The title of "demigod" would have specific connotations, and unless you can define this it is perhaps best not to use it.
We are humans. "Immortals" in a sense that upon death we are reborn. The skills and memories that compose our essence are transferred to new bodies, and we are sent on our way to do as we please. It is not true immortality, unless you consider yourself an infomorph. In that case, an upgrade to the "hardware" shouldn't be any more feared than an improvement in a ship you are piloting.
Enjoy your immortality. |

I know I'm just a toy, but not by any great conspiracy or chuckling shadow in the corner.
I derive my wealth from the imagination of money, but not just how the average citizen might. I derive my force from the agreement for federation, but not like a military might. I'm payed privately, I sign NDAs all day long, I'm told to go destroy something and I cheer and smile every time my wallet flashes. Just a toy, just a child, but at least I get to be the biggest bully of the playground.
But I'm right, right? I'm doing it for duty, to protect the Republic, to make someone happy. Oh, there's no wrong I can do because it's society that asks me to commit the acts against Humanity and I'm thanked for it with my expensive living and my very nature-defying incarnation. I'm just an idea who's possessed a marionette.
You'll be like me someday, you won't be paranoid anymore when you become complacent. Change "Tracking Disruptors" to "Weapon Disruptors" (to include missiles) https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=61502 |

I keep jump clones stationed at stations owned by a variety of corporations, including ones owned by capsuleer corporations. That way, if one betrays me, I can always return one way or another.
However, I don't think that will ever happen. Wave a bit of ISK in a capsuleer's face, and watch him do your very bidding. Having functionally immortal mercenaries is useful to all corporations, and I don't think any of them wants to be the one to earn the ire of the whole capsuleer population by doing anything as brash as wiping out clones.
Plus, remember that the capsuleer technology comes from the Jovians, and immortal as we might be, we offer very little threat to the Jovian empire. Heck, many of us may even support them in event of a conflict, in thanks for the new lives we have received (and possibly in order to get access to Jove ships). |
