My petition: I am not getting normal sec status improvements from null sec ratting or missions.

Hi,
Are you in a fleet when ratting? Only the player who lays the final blow on an NPC gets the security rating increase. Also note that security rating is only handed out every 15 minutes, and only the highest ranking NPC is calculated. So if you aren't laying any final blows on any NPCs, you won't get any standing.
As for missions, there are quite a few missions that give no standings by design, even if you are destroying pirates. Also there is an issue in missions where if you destroy Large Collidable Structures, security standing may not be given out.

You can kill 1000 NPCs in one system and every 15mins you only get the sec from the largest bounty you laid the final blow on.
If you want it get it down faster. just skip systems and kill one BS in each. this way you can get 5+ changes every 15mins depending on how many BSes you kill in different systems.

"Only the player who lays the final blow on an NPC gets the security rating increase." This is the part that i am referring too. it had always been all got the bounty an sec improvement.

Its always been one player gets the boost...the final blower.Even if others wer on grid.Even if you had a feather stuck in your hat like Yankie doodle dandy.Sec gains are not like bounties they are not shared. |

Wtf? Well, please, someone in a non-troll pst answer a question. Do people in gang get sec status regardless of final blow? I hear many stuff from peeps, but from a GM?
I gog sec status to regain :-( been doing system to system with my alt and been getting sec status for both chars but cant really tell who got final blow, lol |

Only the final blow gets the sec status boost. The GM's text was right.
"Always" is not a very long time for some people, and some people don't pay attention anyway, so they may have missed when this changed. (It's been less than a year but I don't recall which patch exactly)

I've done ratting with a friend in two stealth bombers, killing a single BS in each system, and I know we are both getting sec status from that one kill... WTF is going on here. |
