Abaddon - 4 mids , most of the damage comes from turrets not drones and it has a better tank than the armageddon

amarr and solo don't really go together.
sac/pilgrim/curse/harb can do it
BSs are really all good gang ships. abbadon with ACs could probably pull it off or a geddon with web drones. but this is really not the role where they shine.

Solo PVP in a battleship is a bad idea, you don't align or move fast enough to escape anybody chasing you down.
Therefore to ask which battleship is best for solo work is like asking which frigate can tank the hardest - a useless metric.
Amarr, I always recommend a plated Mega-Pulse, sensor boosted Armageddon for good value and durability in gang work, the only time you should bring out a battleship.
7x MP (Scorch, AN MF) 1x offline remote rep mwd, 2x whatever 2x plate, eanm, 'refuge' anp, dc, 3x hs

not true. mega, domi, phoon are great solo BS but of course they all fit mwd. and have enough mids to do this.

Maybe in low-sec when average gang is 2-4 people.
Try solo BS pvp in 0.0 and you will just get killed.

You can camp solo without problems in a geddon, provided you use an implantless clone, you insure your ship, and you only use T1 mods. That way, you will loose very little isk when you get pwned (what will happen often).
Highs: 7xMPL with multifreqs, hvy neut Meds: J5 disruptor, 2 sensor boosters Lows: F85 DCU, 3xHS, 4x reinforced bulkheads. Drones: 4xOgres, 1xSW-900
With good skills you can dish out beyond 700 DPS, and can run all the gear for 2 1/2 minutes. The funniest part is when you get into structure because your opponent will think that he's won the engagement, only to find out that you have 15K dp structure with 54% res all over the board
But you better do that at a 0.0 entrance from Empire so you may go repair in a nearby station after a successful engagement.

well phoon and mega got 4 mids and so does the apoc and abbadon so thats not really the issue Your signature image exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Who needs a showel when you have a nice big cannon? |

abbadon has huge capp issues without gimping you capacitor with an mwd though. might work on the apoc (which would give that ship another yet rather dumb role :D ) nonetheless if you want to take any of those out solo fit em cheap so you can bare the loss.

Amarr BS solo pvp? Not a good idea. May be doable if you have a ton of skillz to fit cheap stuff and a clone with no implants, but even then unless you are lucky you may get 40-60% success rate. As a gang member it may be doable as either a damage dealer or a bait. url=http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/0707/prototron.jpg |

The only Amarr BS that can do solo is the Abaddon. Hands down. Apoc sucks, and the Geddon is missing vital mid slots.

Not even the Abaddon can solo realy well. I mean, you either have the mwd, capbooster, web, scram combo and cant lock anything smaller than a battlecruiser before it warps or you fit a sensor booster and lack one of the 4. other modules which are necessary for solowork.

Basically these are the roles for the Amarr BS.
Armageddon: alpha-strike - Mega Pulse's and T2 heavies and you have a LOT of damage Abadddon: sniper - T2 tachs on this thing are great. Basically some plates with the base resists make for a decent passive tank to hopefully buy you time to get out while the 4 med slots allow for some combination of sensor boosters and tracking comps, and an injector (which you will definitely need) Apocalypse: Can run mega beams (or Tachs) for sniper setup but this ship is pretty useless for anything other than maybe bait. That or neuting the hell out of a cap ship.
In any case, if you're looking for solo the geddon is the best choice as you can use drones to help with things such as webbing and ew. FREE STONY
